What are you really good at? Or wish you were?

I would say I am good at stretching a dollar.

I wish I could sew. (DH sews buttons around here that's how bad I am)

at this point in my life, unfortunately, I don't really feel like I am good at any one thing...It has been a freaky year for our family and there has been no balance whatsoever....I have been a really good mom-and a very good visiting nurse, somehow I feel like there is something better for me out there. I have a few options-and hopefully soon, I will be able to report that I am really good at something.

I am a really great Mom...
I am really good at "reading" people--a great judge of people basically right away...no matter what they try to hide and conceal...
I am a really good listener and great and loyal friend...

I wish I were better at exercising and losing weight.....

I'm really good at gaining weight! Seriously, I homeschool my kids and something must be working 'cause they are all doing fantastic with their studies. I wish, oh I wish, I could sing well.

Me too, I really wish I could sing- there is nothing as inspiring and moving as a beautiful voice in song. I always sang in chorus/choir in school as I enjoyed it alot and could blend in, but my voice is pretty terrible.

I am good at taking care of my loved ones; human and animal.
I am good at getting into the difficult Yoga postures, especially the balance ones!
I am a good listener -- which can sometimes be a fault (refer to the "Do People Take Advantage of You" thread!).

I wish I had the desire to be better at cleaning house (but don't need or want Fly Lady so I'm not wishing for it too badly!, just not a priority at all with me and the house seems especially dirty to me right now but yes, I do have high standards so... now I'm rambling).
I wish I didn't ramble on Message Boards. Heh.

I'm a really good Mom.

I am very organized. I run our family/household very well.

I wish I were good at not eating sweets - it's a huge downfall for me - I need to loose this sweet tooth!

I a good bargain shopper (but don't shop needlessly)
I *think* I am a good singer (at least the kareoke bar people agree and that's enough for me )
I am a good wife and mother

I wish I was good at having women friends. I don't really have any. Women just don't *get* me for some reason. I've always had men friends...since elementary school. It would be nice to have a female *best friend*

I can improvise. I mean, I can fix loose glasses screws with a barrette, or make a cake with no baking powder. I can find something that'll work as a flashlight in a power failure, and fix things with twist ties. I wish I was better at relating to women too, so I have total sympathy there.

I'm good at teaching piano. I can teach anyone to play - I even taught a man getting ready for his 25th high school reunion to play a very fancy rendition of "A Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" by Jerry Lee Lewis - he couldn't play a note prior to the lessons, and he actually did NOT want to actually learn to play piano - just to play this ONE SONG on piano! What a challenge. While I would never teach this way again, it worked.

I'm also good at finding something to like about anything and anyone. That makes me pretty proud.

I wish I was good at ice skating, and I've always wanted to be athletic - the kind of kid that was picked in the top five or six for teams at school.

I know that feeling. One"female" best friend for almost 20 years only because we can be totaly honest and make each other mad as heck and be ok the next day. But guy friends have always been easier for me. I think it's the honesty thing.

I am good at improvising and making do. I work really well under pressure.
Have been know to pull a rabbit out of my hat in some really tough situations when everyone else froze up.
Other than that I haven't found my "passion".
You would think by 50 something would have clicked.
I so wish I could sing and/or dance, but as the old saying goes, "Can't sing, can't dance and I'm too short to yoyo."

I'm good at working with kids and the elderly. I'm the person old people flock to and start talking to. I'm good at dealing with my kid's severe food allergies.

Wish I could sew, lose weight, and dance (or some kind of performing thing).

I am really good at sewing, knitting, etc. and improvise fixing stuff. I also think I am a good Mom (now that I said that, watch my 20 yo DS and 17 yo DD start doing drugs and getting arrested tonight )

I would love to be good at exercising and playing piano (call me, Devinmom).

I wish I was better at singing! I'm not too bad, on some real good days I can nail some Amy Lee from Evanesence stuff. Kelly Clarkson stuff too, but not THE high note she hits. But I wish I had taken lessons when I was younger. I LOVE to sing. Music is like oxygen for me, I have to have it around all the time.

I wish I was better at having patience. I've gotten a LOT better since I was younger, but I still have more to go. I think that's a part of me that will always be a work in progress. Along with more patience would come a trailer load of other things I'd be better at.

I'm good at feeling the emotions of others. I cannot NOT cry when someone else is crying in front of me. Just about the same with laughing and everything in between. If someone feels bad or is really happy about something, it's about all I can do to not hug them. Feeling that much can be cumbersome at times, but I'd rather feel too much than not at all.

I am really good at loading the dishwasher. I know that's kind of a weird thing to be proud of, but I like the fact that I can open a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and still manage to creatively load an entire dinner's worth of additional dishes into it. And they all come out clean.

I would love to be good at singing also....at least tolerable karaoke.

I am really good with kids. I wish I was with a sewing machine.

I am really bad when it comes to cleaning. I HATE doing it.
