Tide detergent for clothes..I'll use whatever is on sale for my sheets and towels
Yankee Candles..no other cheap candle has the same great smell.
DH is an Irish Spring..Head and Shoulders guy.
Bounty Paper towels for everyday..use whatever for cleaning

Cottonelle Toilet Paper
Downy Liquid Fabric Softener (use to make clothes softer and smell good)
Bounce Dryer Sheets (use to help cut down on static)

Yankee Candles
Uniball Signo 207 Pen (it's the only ink that you can't take off of a check by soaking it in chemicals)

Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls in the round aluminum tin in the freezer section (although I can't find them anywhere anymore )

Kirkland TP
Roman Meal Bread
Purex Laundry Detergent
Shout Spray - for stains
Downey Fabric Softener - liquid
Norbest Ground Turkey (in freezer at store) -- best ground turkey that I have found... has less water and good flavor... I add a teaspoon of beef bullion powder to a pound of ground turkey for burgers.
Jennie-O Turkey Franks (hot dogs)
Westsoy Original Lowfat Soymilk (ew, can't stand the others... way too sweet and soy tasting!)
Mori-Nu Extra Firm Silken LITE Tofu (kids loved this as babies too)
Hormel Turkey Chili w/out Beans or w/ Beans... both are yummy.

That's about it on the brand-pickiness! Other than that, we do bulk foods, store brands, and/or generics.

I am mostly a snob about brand names, but not always specific brand names....i.e. I will buy Charmin or Cottonelle or Angel Soft (not picky about which one) but not a store brand.

A couple of things that I am brand loyal on:

Heinz ketchup
Dove bar soap
Oil of Olay facial moisturizers

Plochman's mustard
Heinz ketchup
Miracle Whip Lite

Those are the only ones that I can think of that I am extremely brand loyal to, but I don't normally use any generic products.

None of my kids will eat the store brand of this stuff. I can't believe there's a difference, but there is - it all comes down to that cheese powder.

It is funny that so many people prefer Heinz Ketchup - I guess that's because it IS the best.

I have had a strong preference for Heinz Ketchup for as long as I can remember. I remember when I was much younger, my mom bought Hunt's Ketchup because it was on sale. I honestly just about had a conniption fit. I don't remember my mom ever buying anything but Heinz Ketchup again. LOL

When DH and I got married and moved in together, I bought a huge bottle of Heinz Ketchup. DH made comments that he had never seen such a big bottle of ketchup and wanted to know what on earth were we going to do with it. I told him not to worry about it because I would use it. A month or two later, he was telling me that he had never seen someone go through ketchup as fast as I did. LOL I can't help it. I like ketchup, and I like a lot of it. Don't use it nearly as much as I did back then though.

There are certain brands I like, but generally I buy whatever's cheapest:
Purex
Eight o'Clock Coffee (when it's on sale)
Kashi cold cereals
Tupperware plastic containers (I have plenty of others, but imho Tupperware is the only good one)
B&BW shower gels/lotions
Yankee Candle

I always buy certain things at Trader Joe's (their brand):
bagels
English muffins
lunch meat (or Hormel natural if it's on sale)
milk
plain yogurt
olive oil
vanilla

Here's my list:
Always pads
Mt. Dew
Heinz ketchup
French's mustard
Kraft Mac and Cheese and only the spirals!
Colgate toothpaste
Old Spice deodorant (hubby)
Secret deodorant (Ambition soft solid)
Charmin (for hubby)
Cascade
Downy liquid
Similac
Hebrew National hot dogs

Most everything else I'll buy whatever is cheapest after coupons.

Edited to add these two things:
Science Diet cat food (c/d formula) My cat HAS to eat this or he'll end up with crystals.
Hamburger from a locally owned "mom & pop" store. I will NOT buy it anywhere else. It's more expensive there ($2.49 a pound), but it tastes better and is probably a lot safer than my local grocery store's meat.

Off subject, but a funny memory...when I was PG with my DS, I craved ketchup!...I would squeeze it out of the little foil packets into my mouth..yep, just straight!

Another Heinz ketchup fan!

I also must have:

JIF peanut butter-no other pb is allowed to darken my doorway
Pepsi or Coke-I cannot stand generic pop
Aussie hairspray-I'll use whatever shampoo and gel that are cheapest, but not hairspray
Dove deodorant for sensitive skin-other brands give me a rash
Kraft mac-n-cheese

Other than those things, I'm open to whatever I can get the best deal on

Oh, I just thought of some more things that I have to have in a specific brand:

Bali Bras (had a problem once with one of their bras and they actually mailed me a new one - Bali is the only brand that both my mom and I wear)
Ambrielle Undies (used to buy only Delicates cotton hi-cut undies from J.C. Penney, but I bought some of the Ambrielle undies and I think the only thing that changed is the name)
Publix Premium Spaghetti Sauce (6 Cheese - it tastes better than a lot of homemade sauces I have had)
Badger Lavender & Orange Lip Balm (I can't live without this stuff!)
Curel Lotion
Kotex Pads
Dawn Foaming Dish Soap
Jell-O Brand Pudding (tried the store brand once and it was terrible)
Keebler Club Crackers (also tried store brand and they were just bad)
Snyder's of Hanover Sourdough Pretzels
Reynold's Wrap Aluminum Foil (store brand just isn't as sturdy)
Reynold's Plastic Wrap (I just love the sliding cutter!)
Publix Lean Ground Beef or Ground Sirloin (actually, I won't buy chicken or pork anywhere else either)

It looks like a lot of people prefer the Kirkland brand from Costco for a lot of things. We're going to be getting a Costco sometime in the not so distant future and I can't wait to check it out.

Christine
