An iPod can only be linked to one computer at a time. IF you are successful in getting the music off the Lyra (which I don't even begin to know how to do...lol) he won't be able to use it with another computer once you link it with yours. You might be able to view the Lyra's contents in MYComputer and possibly drag the mp3 files into a folder. Then import them into iTunes. Hope this helps

Hey, thanks all. I finally tracked down the neighborhood 12 year old boy. He came over and had the files transferring in 20 minutes! The key was, you had to set up another user in Windows XP. We had one user, dh and I, since we are just two of us. He set up another user, my brother, then a new Itunes popped up, empty, with no songs. He dragged the songs from the Musicmatch juke box into the new Itunes. I would NEVER have figured that out! Paulette |
