Best thing that has worked for me. Walking, Walking and more walking. Also giving up sodas and sweet junk food. After I gave up even diet cokes I noticed a huge difference within a week. I drink lots of water and that seems to keep the bloat away.

Right now I walk 3 days a week about 2 miles each time. I have people stop me in the stores when I have my gym clothes on and comment on my abs. I have never done a sit up ever. I have those little lines in my abs that run down the side hard to explain. But once I started burning the fat off by walking my abs showed more muscle. I also do weights but I do leg and arm weights no ab weights at all.

Push the simple carbs, sugars, fats and processed foods away. Repeat until no longer needed LOL.

Here is a link to a great 30 minute workout from Cooking Light magazine. It's a PDF file so you need Adobe Reader to view it.

Lunges and squats for your legs...do atleast 40 of each if not more and take your time doing them. You want them to work. For you abs I do this yoga move, get into a pushup position but have the fore arms bent on the ground and hold this position with your stomach pulled in. I was shocked on how hard this simple move is to hold, but it works great. You need to do them atleast 3 times a week!

You could pick up this month's SELF magazine they have their shapeup chanllenge issue with some great moves.

Good luck!

I read somewhere if you practice your Kegel excerises that helps the lower ab muscles. It also helps you have better bladder control.

Thanks for all the responses!! I guess this all should be enough to keep me busy for awhile. lol I am just trying to decide which to start with first. I guess I will sample all of them and see which feels like I am going to benefit the most from.

I am too chicken to go under the knife. I know I'm a wimp. I don't want nobody cutting on me unless it is a have to situation.

Good Luck!

How long does it take before you start seeing results with this? I have always wondered about the ball.
