Question How do you keep track of your login names/passwords?

I am on several websites and most suggest you have a login name and password. How do you keep track of them or do you use the same one? I never realized how many you could have especially if you pay bills online, or buying online. I thought of putting them in an address book, any ideas?

For the most part, i use the same user name and password (easier for my tiny brain to remember! ). There are occasions that I need to vary the spelling/add numbers to it but not very often. Plus I do have keep my user name(s)/passwords written down in a journal just in case I forget.

I let my browser remember them for me, except on banking and money related sites. Those I have on a post-it taped under the keyboard....shhhhhh!

i use the same one if all possible and if it makes you have some weird amount of numbers/letters/characters then i put in in an excel spreadsheet which has colums for website, name and password.

Excel spreadsheet here too. I told my DH to look for it in Excel if something ever happens to me. I have all my email accounts and passwords and other important info right there in my computer.

I used to use a checkbook register specifically for U/N's and PW's.

I use the same username for all sites except CC or and the bank. The bank has its own username and password. The CCs have the same username and the password only slightly different. Then stores (like target.com, ect.) have a different password but usually the same username.

I used to keep track of all the different ones on a few post-it notes on the desk but we got rid of that desk. Now I have been using them for so long I can just remember. I also change my password often but keep it close to the original.

I'm so forgetful that except for this site I use the same login and the same password. My son and I use the same password and call it our "family" password.

I keep a small index card box next to the computer. I keep an individual index card with the website address, my password and sign in name on it. That way if something comes up and I have to change anything, I can do it right on that card. Also if the computer was to ever crash, I still have all my info and didn't lose anything.

For bills & bank info I keep them on Index Cards in a safe place away from the PC or File Cabinet..

For Reward Programs- I keep all my info in different color folders.

I keep all my user names and passwords written in a little spiaril notebook that is a little larger than a box of 100's cigrettes. It is kept in the drawer next to the keyboard tray. That way, if the computer was to crash, I wouldn't lose anything.

I have one username that I use for fun sites (like this) and one I use for serious sites (like online banking and places where I shop). The password for each site is different, but it is based on a system I worked out that makes it easy for me to remember.

I use Roboform and it is awesome. You can print out all of your passwords but I love not having to remember any of them!
