Can you believe this (health related)?

I am so frustrated with all my health "problems" lately. Which is probably making it even worse, stress agrivates the immune system! This is a list of all the things I've been seen/treated/otherwise for in the past 7-10 mos. Let me also say, I know I could have it a lost worse, and I know that a lot of people are in worse situations than this.

Possible low blood sugar which lead to..
Finding of 3.8 cm colloid nodule on right side of thyroid
FNA biopsy of nodule (non canerous yay!)
Repeat u/s of nodule which proved to be the same, but discovered a second mm nodule on left lobe of thyroid
non-functioning digestive system which lead to multiple xrays, meds, ultrasounds, and cat scans, which ultimately showed nothing, and after almost 2 mos started functioning again
dizzy spells which was diagnosed as vertigo, MRI of brain led to..
Severe Chronic Sinusitus (antibiotic, and flonase spray)
Yeast infection which leads to
Diabetic testing (4/16) and..
high blood pressure which I now have to follow up with primary

Jeez, I probably forgot a thing or two as well! I am so, so tired of it all. It seems one appt leads to another appt, another test, or another dr, and ultimately it seems like nothing is being taken care of. I was complaining to somone at work how I just wanted to suck up all these problems, and not bother going to the drs office anymore just because I was starting to get a complex about what people might think of me..another co-worker over hears, and asks me if I think I am a hypochondriac! Exactly why I said I don't want to go to the drs anymore!!!

To top everything off, my one daughter was referred to an ENT for large tonsils that a speech therapist, and dr thought might be complicating speech problems. Well I bring both daughters along, and find out that they both need their tonsils/adneoids removed asap, and that one daughter's airway is almost completely closed off.

Not sure how much more I can take.

I'm in the same boat as you, and it is extremely stressful. I was supposed to go today to have a mole removed/biopsied, but my appointment was cancelled.

I recently passed the one year mark on my diabetes dx. The past year has really sucked for me, medically.

I hope all your tests come back a-ok.

I know what you mean. I have had a lot of health issues this past year also. I have undergone a series of tests, doctor appointments and a surgerical procedure. I have also been on antibiotics daily for the past 2 months except for about 4 days in between rounds. I have had a cancer scare, recurring strep throat (almost had to get tonsills removed), eye infections, upper respiritory infections, other infections, vertigo, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, hypoglycemia, food poisioning or the flu, etc... I think there is more, but I can't remember what else...

I hope you feel better soon! It is miserable being so sick for so long!

It is stressfull and you have to take it one day at a time. Do not worry after a test is done you will know when it is time. I used to get so upset going to the DR's that I would stay up all night and worry. I have now decided to let it go. What will be will be.

My suggestion keep a notebook carry it with you everywhere... to the Dr's office to work to bed to the kitchen you get the point. Write down all your questions in one section and in another right down your worries and in another I always right about what an as# my Dr can be in another. This way it is out of your brain and onto paper and you no longer need to worry about it. My notebook goes everywhere with me. It also reminds me of what I do need to ask each Dr. That I see. I also do alot of research on my disease and print everything out and put it in my notebook. When your frustrated and upset you can write it down.

Your health is very important and you must stay on top of it.
I have a notebook for everyone in my family when it comes to health care.
Keeping the notebook also helps with your health insurance. Those papers they send you I file in the notebook and so do all the bills. This is the only thing I am orgainized about but it helps so I don't have to worry.

I hope things get better soon!!
