I just started a thread for this (before seeing this). Mine is down to 167 (will be 168 after I post this). I had over 3,000.

Are there new rules for the rep points?
or is there a maximum on the points we can get ??

Hard to explain but
Originally we got the amount that the giver had,
And we gave the same amount we have to the people we rep'd.

Then we started getting 1 (one) point for a rep.

I got some of mine back, but I'm STILL missing about 600. I was OVER 3,000. Over 3100, actually, so hopefully I get the rest of them back.
