My 7 year old just lost his 4th tooth this year. He started losing them a couple of months ago, and now he looks like a checker board in the front. He was in the middle of 1st grade when they finally started coming out, and there are still a few in his class who haven't lost any yet. It seems that 1st grade is when a lot of them lose teeth. There are always a few in Kindergarten, but mine never did that soon.

My DS didn't lose a tooth until he was 7, he has only lost 2 teeth so far. The dentist didn't seem concerned. My DS actually swallowed his 2nd. tooth!

One of my twins was 4 and the other was 6. The teeth will come out when they're ready. I think 5-6 is about the usual age.

My oldest started losing his early, like about 4 or 5 and my middle son didn't lose his til he was older.

I wouldn'nt worry, every child is different. Of course, I would check with dentist if it's really bothering you. Just put in a phone call, most receptionists or the assistants can answer for you for FREE!! hehehe, had to throw that out, couldn't help it, everyone likes free!

My son is 7 and he just lost his first tooth a few weeks ago, then in that same week he lost another, now he has 2 more teeth that are loose waiting to come out. It seems like they all fall out at the same time.

My ds didn't lose his first tooth until 6 weeks after he turned 7. I was a little worried too - but the dentist reminded me that he didn't cut his first tooth until late (2 wks shyof his 1st birthday). He is almost 8 1/2 now and still has only lost 4 teeth.

My two older children lost their first teeth when they were 7 1/2. We go regularly to the dentist and she says there is nothing to be concerned with. My youngest is now 6 1/2 and no wiggly teeth yet, so she''ll probably be like her two sisters!

My dd lost her first at age 4 (close to 5) and both my boys were 5. My dd had children in her class last year 3rd grade that were just loosing their two top front teeth. I think the later the better because they brush their teeth better as they get older.

My DS will be 7 in May (next month) and has not lost any teeth yet. At his last dental appointment in February, the dentist said 'soon' and not to worry about it.
DS only had 1 tooth at his first brithday, so I figure they came in late, they will fall out late.

My daughter teethed very early and started loosing teeth early. I think she lost all of her teeth by end of 3rd grade (last day of 3rd grade she says). anyway, I worried that she would have crooked teeth since she started so young, but she has nearly perfect teeth and most likely will not need braces.

Not to worry!

My oldest dd was 8 and in the 3rd grade when she lost her first tooth. Poor thing had those baby teeth forever and the other kids made fun of her. She was so happy when she finally lost it... then they fell out quick after that. She's 14 now and still has a few more teeth to lose before she can get her braces.

Both my other dd's were 6 when they lost their first teeth.

As far as my dentist was concerned, the later they got their teeth the better because they had less time to abuse the new teeth, which they'll have for a lifetime.

My DD turned 8 in November and had her first teeth when she was 6-7 months old and she just lost her first tooth about 2 months ago. My son on the other hand got his first tooth when he was 8-9 months old and lost his first one when he was 6.
