I do not know if many on here are country fans but I tought I would post this for all to read.
Big & Rich were scheduled to play last night at a casino in San Bernindino, Ca. There was a child (5yrs old) from the Make-a-wish foundation that wanted to see the show. MAW arranged for the kid to see the concert unaware of the casinos strict policy of no-one under 21. The boys in the band found out the casino would not let the child into the show and told them they would not play if this kid couldn't be there. After 3 hours of fighting the show was cancelled. They stuck to their guns and I am very impressed. There were a lot of disapointed fans, the show was cancelled 2 hours after it was supposed to start, and the fans had t owait in the lobby. The casino heads just said there was a "contractual issue."
I think this is an amazing thing for the band to do. Makes me want to go buy all their CDs even though I am not a huge country fan.
(I heard this story from an employee of the casino.)
