Not really no. Maybe when it stops feeling like winter here.
Snowed a few inches the other day and a few more coming tomorrow.

Can't wait to open the windows and start cleaning and purging.

All that is left is windows... I usually wait on those until the weather warms up and the spring winds stop. June?

No, unfortunately. One kid with pnuemonia and two other ones that have been bouncing off the walls because they miss their 'playful' brother. PLUS I am working two public jobs, so I honestly haven't had time. UGGH!! I will get on it when things are settled.

I thought you only did spring cleaning on leap years!!!lol. I have some done, but have more to go with better weather. We are putting wood floors in the family room, florida room. and bedrooms this year plus painting, etd. We will need good weather to get that done.

Yep!

I work on it in bits and pieces. The weather down in Atlanta gets lovely so early, I end up switching back and forth from inside to outside. If I started my "spring cleaning" before it got warm down here, I'd be starting the end of January!

It looks like my Spring cleaning has just begun ! Bf has FINALLY decided to start doing little repairs around the house and has left half done jobs all over the house all along with a big pile of debris with each one.So until he finishes these little jobs, all I can do is strut in muck cleaning all the things I wasn't able to clean before.I'm in for a busy weekend.WHAT A MESS!!!!

I'm with you, grannyshirl! These days I strive just to keep the kitchen and bathrooms sanitary - anything else I do is gravy. Of course, it helps that I have kids old enough to assign chores to - example - "We are going to finish this job list before ANYONE gets on a computer or plays a video game! Really good bargaining chips!

I made my list on while we were on vacation for each room. Since the boys go back to school Monday, I'll be starting then! The windows will have to wait till it's just a bit warmer...it's 26 here now!

My house isn't spotless like it used to be but it's not filthy either. Just somewhere in between.

We already washed all the windows. We had a couple nice days and we had spring fever.

I suppose by the time it warms up here we will have to do them again!

I just started this morning. Got the house clean so I can start on steam cleaning the carpets tomorrow. Then the next day will be to clean out the closets, shove things in the back...lol. I hate cleaning.

My due date was yesterday - I am still big and fat waiting on a baby and going through MAJOR nesting. Last week I washed all the main floor walls top to bottom. Yesterday it was the car that got hit with steam cleaning and a wash. Today I think it will be the basement since it is raining. Once the baby is out - I am done :-)

yes, we have used this Spring Break to do a ton of Spring Cleaning-I have cleaned out closets and dressers and have donated at least ten garbage bags of clothing and toys. It feels so great to see the bottoms of my closets again. With four boys, stuff is always being passed-down. I actually, in this moment in time, feel like I am in control of the sitution.

Yep! Here's my project list:

1. Major cleanout of Brandon's room. He might have 1 or 2 toys when I'm done. (just kidding!) He is way overdue for a cleanout, and I'm tired of fighting with him about his room. I'm going to make it very easy for him.
2. A complete overhaul of all my srapbook materials. Including organizing, labeling, getting rid of what I don't like/want/need, and moving alot of it downstairs.
3. I currently have 4 filing cabinets. I'll be going through all of them in the next 2 weeks; throwing away what we no longer need, and organizing what we do need. I'm sick of not being able to find stuff because it's been misfiled (ie gift certificate from last week).
4. Major cleanout of my closet. I have about 6 different sizes in my closet. My weight has fluctuated so much since chemo, and my closet reflects it. I need to organize what fits, what doesn't.
5. Which brings me to my next point-- exercise. I haven't had time to get any exercise in, between working and getting the kid's stuff done. I plan on walking each morning after I drop the kids off at school.
6. Finish video for Brandon's teacher.
7. Painting the sunroom and the downstairs bathroom. They are the only rooms that are not painted yet.

And I'm determined to have it all done by June 8th.

Holly

My goal date is to finish Spring Cleaning before Summer Solstice on June 21! My kids like to be at home (Summer Vacation!) and so this will give me something to do.

Windows first.

I had no choice. I didn't do it willingly. But we're trying to sell the house, so it had to be done.

We cleaned a good part of the garage before we knew we were going to be moving, now I'm home with 3 kids while he lives out of state and I have NO motivation at all to get the rest sorted, packed, sold, donated, trashed. I'd like to just pack my computer and some clothes and go haha

I like to tell everyone that twice in my life I have sold everything but the cat and the photo album and moved. Actually it was a few more things but it could all be packed in the back of a pickup truck. And to tell the truth I don't miss any of the "stuff".

I will bet that is VERY freeing....We (general we) tend to hang on to so much and accumulate so much, don't we??? I am reading a good book called "For Packrats ONLY!!" Very motivational.

I just did it this weekend. Since we got back from vacation on the 14th I have wanted to do this. I still need to move the furniture around but DH works at night and sleeps during the day and vice verse for me so I don't know when I'll have the chance for a "re-modeling".
