Do you have any consignment stores near you? Maybe try some bridal stores and see if they have a sales rack. Good luck.

none of my friends stuff would probably fit. it's not the expense of a new one, just the difficulty finding one -- dress shopping is HARD!

Dillards has alot

Of the stores that we have locally, JCPenney & Macys would be the first places I'd look.

A couple of years ago my DH told me about a company party.....no problem right.....EXCEPT it was that night. I have nevered been buffed, waxed, polished and shopped so fast in my life.......Long story short go to Dillards!!

I would try a "teenage" store. Forever 21, Papyas, Wet Seal, ect. normally have cute dresses for under $50.

My best shopping deal is.... We had a formal dinner with the church so I took my dress to be drycleaned. I forgot to pick it up and the cleaners were closed on sunday, the day of the dinner. So I ran into a store in the mall and shopped the clearence rack. They had this beautiful dress for 75% off. It laced up the back and one of the loops was ripped out. It took about 5 min to fix and I had the prettiest dress in the room.
