OK, so I went to find some photos of Kelly this morning. This girl is NOT fat. Her dress was unflattering, yes, but I found another photo of her from last week at an awards show, too.

She's heavier than she has been in awhile. It was surprising to see her look so heavy last night. I think her hair looks good in the bottom pic you have but I don't like it for last nights show. She looked like Valerie Bertinelli in the old days. I don't know why everyone thinks we shouldn't be shocked when a star gains or loses weight. There's usually a reason for it. If a friend IRL all of a sudden lost or gained weight I'd be concerned and I would definately say "Wow" she's gained a lot of weight or "Wow" she lost a lot of weight.

I think Kelly Clarkson is very beautiful and looks very healthy. At least she does not look like Nicole Ritchie or some of those other sticks. Has she gained some weight? I don't know. I don't look at her that much when she is singing. I don't care how much she weighs. It has nothing to do with her singing ability. Why is everyone so preoccupied with weight?

She looks muscular to me,not really fat.

She has terrible taste in clothes, but that doesn't make her fat!

she looks a lot better than she did after dropping all that weight after she won. I was afraid she would do a Nicole Richie or Lindsey Lohan and look like a strong breeze could carry her away. It looks like she caught herself and realized that healthy is better

I think she's beautiful.. I think it's ashamed that your obsessed with how much weight she has lost /gained.. she's got a voice.. and is a positive influence.. does that no longer matter?

I replied on the other post about her but I'll reply here too. I am totally shocked that most of you are dissing her for being a "real" weight! (On the other post,) I certainly hope you don't talk to your daughters like you're talking about Kelly!! It's refreshing to see a pop star that actually isn't stick thin. She's beautiful!

See I don't see anyone in this post dissing her. Why is it that we can't comment on her weight gain. No one on this post is saying she's fat. She GAINED weight. We can tell she did, That's what we are commenting on. I don't care what she looks like. She can look however she wants. I hope she's healthy. Sudden weight gain is not healthy. Just like nicole and others with their sudden weight loss is unhealthy. Why is it ok to comment when someone takes a sudden weight loss but when it's a weight gain we are suddenly not allowed to comment.

If you'll read my post, I said I replied on the other post, too and referred to THAT post as the one dissing her. When it comes to people's weight, I think it's a touchy subject, especially for someone in the public view all the time. She's not had sudden weight gain. She's been this way, especially when she was on American Idol. It just bothers me that people talk about her being fat and big. I had a niece who was anorexic and it's a lifelong and life-and-death situation at times. It just bothers me that that seems to be the first thing people noticed about Kelly last night on AI.

It's time for a station break.... I think the phrase you're going for is "a shame" not "ashamed". Sorry, I just had to get that out. It reminds me of the thread on the misheard song lyrics.

I think it is her choice of clothes, I know the black one piece outfit she had on at the February Daytona 500 made her look awful thick thighed. With a voice like that it really don't matter what she weighs...

maybe a 10 or 12? She looks alot more muscular in the bottom picture than I remember her. I loved her on AI and thought she was beautiful!! I was really disappointed to see her fall under the pressure of the "thin" factor when her c.d. was getting ready to drop. Carrie Underwood is skinny as a stick now too. If that is what happens when you go to hollywood, maybe I could just visit for a couple of months!!!LOL

Well that's taking it to the other extreme. Surely, you'd want to promote good health to your daughter and not tell her it's ok to be obese, right? Obesity is a killer and good health should be promoted. I wouldn't tell my daugthers they should be stick thin either - that's also a killer. Eating healthy and exercising should be taught, not eating "another Big Mac" or starving oneself. I woudn't call Kelly Clarkson fat, but she is a little fluffy.

I guess it just shows celebrities have their own issues too. Unfortunately, it was the first thing I noticed about her last night--it is a shame that I noticed that ,but I am being honest. However, I didn't mention it out loud to my daughter who was watching--because I don't want my daughter to worry about her weight. I don't think the dress she was wearing helped either. To the poster who mentioned Valerie Bertinelli---I was thinking the EXACT same thing! Cookie

Honestly, you don't need to "yell" or be so defensive. Nobody said you wanted your child to be "fat." You were the one who said "go ahead and have another Big Mac" and all sizes are "ok." I don't think all sizes are ok - whether it's an anorexic woman or an obese woman. Healthwise, it's not "ok" for either extreme.

Do any of you stop and think how it might make Kelly Clarkson feel if she were to come here to Mycoupons today and read all of this? I am just saying if it were me in the situation I would be hurt. I know she is a celebrity and she put herself out there for this kind of talk but she is still a human being and I think her feelings could be hurt. She is just a person.

Don't assume that I am bashing anyone or being judgemental because I am not, I am just thinking about how I would feel if people were talking about me like this. I guess I just feel for her.
