Just wondered how things went yesteday after your your husband went to the school. How did the school 'handle' it?

I was inspired by your post yesterday to write an email to the teacher, principal, and guidance counselor about these boys that have been picking on my daughter again. I received an answer back that the boys were given AID (in-school suspension) for their remarks. AND they got the two boys and one other young man out of elective classes to meet with guidance. They made it very clear to them that any more incidents of name calling or harassment would result in more serious disciplinary action.

Keep at them. Send lots of correspondence, and carbon copy anyone you think could help, such as a school board. Good Luck!

My husband went to the school but aside from giving his notes of incidents and my daughter's notes all they would do is an investigation at this point. Her counselor was absent and they wanted to discuss it with her first. We have a early appt on Monday with the counselor, vice principal and principal, and maybe the teacher. My daughter was allowed to sign in for the day so she would not be counted absent against school creidit and then left. They understood that until this is resolved she will not be back in class. I will let you all know what happens Monday.
