Did anyone watch this 2-part show on Jeffrey's obsessive and controlling "love" for Jennifer? It was on the past two nights here. What did you think? Have you known anyone like this?

That guy scared the living daylights out of me - so calm and cool describing all the sick things he's done. I really feel like Jennifer 's name is going to show up in the obituaries some day.

I saw it and personally I think that Dr. Phil is wrong for trying to get their marriage to work out. I think that she needs to run and run fast.

When the hubby was crying, I just kept thinking that I wasnt buying it, he seemed fake to me.

I don't really think Dr. Phil is trying to get the marriage to work out; I think he was using that to ensure that the guy got into the residential program. I think he's afraid of what will happen if Jeffrey doesn't get immediate treatment/help.

Did they ever talk about Jennifer's cheating? What did she do? I think I missed that part.

I read the transcript on the link in the first post but didn't see the show. Wife's affair was in the first year of marriage. Did that come up in the show?

I saw the last bit of the show.. I saw the previews and thought she should RUN!! What drives a person to get to that point? crazy world I tell ya!

Unfortunately, I only caught the tail end of last nights episode. That guy struck me as being a weasely creep. I don't understand how she stayed and endured that crap for so long.

I hope they re-air it so I can view it in it's entirety.

Usually it only takes about 10 minutes of talking to a couple to see how possessive one of them is. When it's the man usually it's in a more abusive way and when it's a woman usually it's more intrusive.

Go to a party or a mall or whatevever and observe couples. It's quite enlightening.

I watched it. I agree that I think he asked Jennifer to stay as an incentive to keep him in treatment. However, I think she loved him when he was without his controlling ways. I will be interested to watch a follow up to see if he finished treatment and if it helped.

Remember that blond early on when Dr. Phil first started that had the list of rules for her husband to follow? He really helped her and they stayed together and seemed to be happy afterwards.

I didn't catch every second of it, but, I don't remember that part coming out.

I thought the wife was just trying to get attention. Not saying the DH wasn't controlling, but, I felt it had more of a tilt to do the DH in. When Dr. P asked about showing naked pics of the guys wife to anyone, and the DH said "no", then Dr. P kept asking him, until he finally said "well, no one that she didn't want to see them." Sorry, but, I think the DW is seeking attention, kind of "look at me, aren't I just too cute???". Seemed a bit staged to me.

JMO.

I did catch the In-law show the day before, tho, THAT was a good one.

I didn't watch all of it but I heard she had an affair (or maybe two) at some point when I was watching.

I do think that the wife plays into the situation quite a bit. But gosh, she got pregnant and married this guy at 19 years old (he was 30) and has been under his thumb since then. In a way, I feel like she might do some of the things she does to validate herself and also to try to push him to physically abuse her so that she has some proof. Well, he went on national TV and described all this crazy stuff he does, so she definitely has her proof of his mental and verbal abuse now!

He was just weird and had a cold, calculated look about him....the language he chose ("I want to be married") was strange. To the best of my knowledge, I've never known anyone like this - but who knows what goes on in people's homes.

I don't get the chance to watch much TV - and no daytime stuff - so this one has me really intriqued and I'm looking forward to the May 16/17 update.
