Help me with FIL bday gift ideas???

I need gifts ideas for my FIL is going to be 81. I usually give him a picture of his grandchildren but I made him a calendar of them for x-mas, so I cann't do that! It's just that it's reached a point where I have given him it seems like everything!

I gave him gift cards but he doesn't use them!! I find them and have to tell him to use them or he gives them back to me.

Last year I gave him a basket full of cheese! See I need help! Ideas please

What about gifts of your time - a regular time to come by and visit or play cards.

Home cooked meals packaged up and ready to go.

I once gave my grandparents a case of different Progresso soups and some home made mixes for biscuits, muffins and the like all packaged into 2 people serving sizes. It was a HUGE hit. Go figure

Tickets to an event; movies, dinner theater, concert....

Audio books or cd's

Does your FIL like gospel music like the Gaithers? I gave some of the Gaithers videos to my dad once and he and mom loved them. They watched them over and over again.

What about different types of nuts? Nuts are expensive and maybe if he's on a budget he would appreciate getting them. My dad always enjoyed something to eat, so maybe your FIL will, too!!

With only the age to go on, I'd suggest some sort of edible gift also. Maybe there's something that he particularly likes but isn't in his regular budget. Or a monthly coffee or fruit delivery for a gift that lasts all year.

If you give more info about him - is he healthy? live alone? able to get around? have any particular interests or hobbies - maybe we can come up with some better ideas.
