Mother's Day Gift Idea?

You folks are so good at gift ideas! and I am (as usual) stumped as to what to get DH's mom and my own mom.

Both are in their 70's and retired. My mom is on fixed income, DH's mom is wanting for nothing.

Any ideas? Things that your moms have really liked in the past?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the bird feeder idea. DH's mom will not use anything anyone gives her she just saves it. For example for part of her Christmas we gave her $100 GC for Walmart. She still hasn't spent it. Last year we gave her a nice heated blanket (she has Hepititis C so she's cold a lot) and she sent it to storage.

A bird feeder we could get her and hang it up and then she wouldn't be able to not "use" it. I think we will do that an maybe a nice plant.

A spa gift certificate! I know that's all *I* ever want for mom's day! My mom thought she wouldn't like the spa but chose a facial and loved it! My grandma (before she passed away), also loved facials or foot massages. It's great, especially for those who can't afford it for themselves.

I just ordered a photo album from Shutterfly.com, my Mom has parkinson and she only gets to see my children in the summer when we go to visit. I just put a year of pictures together for her, because even if I send pictures to her they don't make it into a album. It was very easy to do, didn't even have to leave home to do it!

I have used them before, just wish the shipping was cheaper! But I notice that if you go through Upromise they have a special on free shipping for new customers.

Then when other gift-giving occasions arise, you can always buy her bird seed

We always do a gift certificate arrangement. My mom is a widow and gets lonely a lot,so she shops and goes out to eat..
we also get her car wash gift coins.
