Question anybody have The Secret DVD

I just watched an Oprah "After the Show" about The Secret and it sounded pretty interesting.

$30 - $35 is a lot of money to spend so I'd love to know if anybody here has it.

Is it worth the money?

I just borrowed it from a friend. I plan on watching it later this week. I hear it is well worth the money.. have you tried the library?

My two friends and I went in together and brought it for 29.xx at Waldenbook stores. It's not a DVD that can found easily. Amazon has it but at a B&M store, this is the only place we've found it. ITS WORTH THE MONEY!! All three of us have watched it at least once and my BF has watched it every morning b/f she comes to work. We have lent it out so much that its getting harder for one of us to get ahold of it when we want it. I had it last but gave it to one of our coworkers that definetly needed to watch it, so am waiting on it back now

I think this is a waste of money and I will tell you why.
First of all know that I totally believe in "the law of attraction". It has been my philosophy for years that every word, action, thought, feeling, etc puts out negative or positive energy in the world. What you put out is what you get back. I even suggested on this very forum to people who don't believe it to do the simple experiment: go out one day with a smile and say nice things no matter what, another day go out with a frown and only be negative all day and see how those two days go.

But as far as "The Secret" which I even recommended to people to read on this forum I find some things wrong with it.
First of all the writers constantly promote material riches and financial gains. It is my belief that in order to be successful and happy a life must contain a healthy balance: physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual health are all important not just how much money you make or what possessions you own.
Secondly after re-reading and re-viewing I do think they are simplifying and missing much of the point of "the law of positive attraction" and I think their message implies in many ways that we, ourselves, are to blame for the failures, bad health, layoffs, and then so would it not be going with the program to say if someone has been raped, robbed, etc that they brought it upon themselves?

If you want to watch it you can do so here cheaply
Law of Attraction :: The Secret :: Official Web Site of The Secret Movie

You can download it for $4.95.

All you really need to know is to be positive not like Pollyanna or in denial but more to appreciate in gratitude for what you do have and to recognize your blessings. Set your goals and do not others limit you. Take logical steps to realize your goals. Do not let the negativity, judgements, insults, etc of others affect you.

Have faith in yourself and the universe. Call it God call it Mother Nature call it the powers that be call it a purple lump in the sky but there is a force guiding us and that force wants us to succeed to be happy and has given us the intelligence and power to take control of our lives and shape them into what we want them to be.

Yes use visualization, use role playing, use journaling, use support systems of those who love and believe in you. Write affirmations and post them around the house.
Do whatever you need to do to realize that there is lots for each of us to be grateful for and that we do control our lives and that we can find happiness and joy in any circumstance.

I watched it and thought it was great. I got mine through Netflix. I did notice at Super Walmart that they had the DVD and the book.
