i have an associates degree in paralegal studies, however I am finding it hard to get a paralegal position mainly because the job i am at now (with the state ) I have had since graduating college and I dont have any "real " law firm experience so I have been applying for jobs as a receptionist / secretary but everytime I go on an interview they say for those positions I am over qualified but the paralegal positions are saying I need the experince in a firm I am going to try google and those other sites Thank you for posting them for me

I would try the other papers in the city, there's the NY Post, NY Daily News, NY Newsday, NJ Star Ledger (more for northern NJ, but has lots of listings in the regular Sunday paper.) I can't think of anything else right now, but they might be a better bet.

Can you try for a receptionist in a law firm or some other position that is not a paralegal in law firms ? The education might not not be considered over qualifed in a law firm. even though your work history is underqualifed for the paralegal post.
