This is too sweet! I love the treats and the gift. And the quote is perfect and a good one to remember when I feel like I have no idea what I am doing!

Thanks Tag1114!

Count me in!

Congratulations Ya'll!--- I'm so happy to hear Daddy was there at the "right" time!

Here is my baby gift for you to "unwrap"...

In northern China, the birth of a child is celebrated by a traditional gift of a Bai Jia Bei, or "100 Good Wishes Quilt." Originally, the tradition involved cloth contributed by the newborn's friends and family. The quilt is said to contain the energy, good fortune and loving wishes of the gift givers. Inspired by this tradition I want to give you this blanket as your “100 Good Wishes Quilt”. When your mommy & daddy wrap you snug as a doodle bug, or you run your little hands over it, you are surrounded by these wishes made for you.

i wish you the sound of your children’s laughter.
i wish you a sherbet swirl sunset at the end of a stormy day.
i wish you a long, lazy morning with breakfast bed.
i wish that no matter how much it rains, yours socks never get wet.
i wish you a kiss in the moonlight from someone you love.
i wish you always get a seat at the window.
i wish you patience, because sometimes your friends will insist that you run when you really should be walking.
i wish you the abandon to be the first one out on the dance floor
no matter how many are watching.
i wish you a good memory, except for grievances.
i wish you rainbows and fireworks.
i wish that no matter how venerable an age you attain, at least
once a year you splash in a puddle.
i wish that you never fear failure, for doing so makes it hard to succeed.
i wish that you’re never the last to laugh.
i wish you a mountain to climb and the will to do it.
i wish you the vision that lets you see the good in others & the faults in yourself before passing judgment.
i wish that you know where the fuse box is whenever the lights go out.
i wish you heroes that are worth looking up to.
i wish that no matter how tall you walk, you never look down on others.
i wish you the strength to face your fears, to recognize them as part of yourself, and still move on.
i wish that you find your own path through the forest.
i wish you courage at that precise moment in life that your next move will change the entire trajectory of your life.
i wish that at least once, you ditch work early to go see a movie one afternoon.
i wish you laugh lines, not wrinkles.
i wish you the sense to laugh at the world and all its absurdities, and the wisdom to laugh at yourself before others do.
i wish that you see that beauty lies in the shadows as well as in the sun.
i wish that you can feel my hand in yours whenever you need it.
i wish you a home as welcoming as a mother's embrace.
i wish you good self esteem and a positive attitude.
i wish you a special song that’s yours and yours alone and that when you catch it suddenly playing on the radio it takes you to another place and time that you remember fondly.
i wish you warm sand between your toes and a warm summer breeze across your sun kissed cheeks.
i wish you a lifetime of giggles at whatever silliness life may bring.
i wish you the comfort of arms wrapped around you of someone who truly loves you no matter what.
i wish you many bargains to find and a smile for me as you get a really good deal on some cool gadget.
i wish you the quiet stillness that happens on a winter’s night
as snow blankets the earth.

i wish you misty-eyed pride as you applaud your children’s accomplishments.
i wish you breathlessness and sheer exhaustion after winning the race.
i wish you the experience of being in a room with someone with whom you need not speak to communicate.
i wish you butterflies in your tummy sent to you from a glance across the room from someone special.
i wish you warm salty tears streaming down your cheeks and the healing that comes from being able to release the sorrow.
i wish you the miracle of having your own children one day.
i wish you many moments of awe as tangible as it is in a delivery room.
i wish you an empty mailbox on days you don’t want any bills.
i wish you phone calls from old friends on days you may feel lonely.
i wish you one perfect day in a convertible with the top down, no specific place to be, and no specific time to be there.

i wish you the adoration and hero worship of a child in whose eyes
you’re the greatest person on earth.
i wish you health, happiness and well being.

a very old house with lots of history.
