In northern China, the birth of a child is celebrated by a traditional gift of a Bai Jia Bei, or "100 Good Wishes Quilt." Originally, the tradition involved cloth contributed by the newborn's friends and family. The quilt is said to contain the energy, good fortune and loving wishes of the gift givers. Inspired by this tradition I want to give you this blanket as your “100 Good Wishes Quilt”. When your mommy & daddy wrap you snug as a doodle bug, or you run your little hands over it, you are surrounded by these wishes made for you.
