Jordin's 1st song sounds awesome I did't like Malinda, Blake or Lakisha's 1st songs...I hope they sound better on their 2nd songs.

Malinda and Blake are usually my favorites...but tonight the only one I liked was Jordin and just her 1st song. I hope next week they get better song choices....

Jordin, the youngest, stepped up to the plate and hit it out of the park!!!!! Love her, and cannot believe the confidence she has at 17. She HAS to be in the final 2!!! Thought Blake was very very very bad on the first song, and only just good on the second. To get to the semis I think "good" is just not good enough. HOWEVER, that being said, since he is the only male left in the competition, he might just pull it off....knocking out a better singer just BECAUSE he is male....not necessarily because he is better....

You wouldn't believe the long list of performers who have recorded Barry Gibb music. He's an extremely talented songwriter. I also happen to like the way he sings, but I know many people don't. I like a lot of older Bee Gees stuff and was really disappointed that nobody sang "Words" tonight.

Stayin' Alive?? What was Lakisha thinking?? LOL

Who do you think is going home?

My guess is Lakeisha.

Unfortunately, I think Blake signed his death warrant last night. He (and Jordin) are my favorites, but he, IMO, really blew it last night.

Jordin was the only one who really did well last night, and I only liked her first song. And I have to disagree with another poster, I love Barry Gibb and I've been waiting for a "disco" themed night all season long! (OK, I know it wasn't really disco but....)

I'll be shocked if anyone besides Blake has to leave tonight.

I think that Blake has a large (likely young) following that may very well carry him through. It will be interesting.

Although I like Lakesha, I think sh'es going home.

I am so stinkin' proud of Jordin. I can't believe the talent that comes from one so young- she has such emotion when she sings. Her parents must be soooo proud Even if she doesn't win, she will most likely be the most successful of this Idol.

Blake will also do well, has a large fan base. I see Melinda on Broadway and doing very well.

Dh doesn't usually watch AI with me but he did last night. We were both shocked at how bad everyone did, except for Jordin, she was excellent!! Blake....well, that was just bad. both songs. I don't much care for Lakisha so if she goes no big deal. Melinda did pretty good, but not like Jordin did.

I'd say either Blake or Lakisha are going home.

I watched and really, it was for me, just a so-so episode. And honestly, I couldn't even begin to concentrate on the singers because I was shocked at Barry Gibb's ill fitting dentures or dental work. I mean, you'd think someone would have pulled him aside and said 'uh, dude......you sound like ssssssufering ssssssucatash.."

Jordin was awesome but WOW on the others. I know that they can have an "off" night but 2 songs? Blake (I love him) just got worse on his second song and neither of Lakisha's was good. Melinda did better on her second one and Jordin did worst on hers. I liked both of Jordin's songs but have to agree with the judges tonight. I think its Lakisha tonight.

I'm in the minority here, but I thought Blake did a good job. The second song he sang was more of an unknown, but I think he did a fine job. (He probably should have tackled Jive Talkin' maybe). Anyway, I finally put my finger on who he reminds me of. Remember the sometimes wild-haired Howard Jones from the 1980's? He had a successful run of hits in the mid-80's. Well, I think I see similarities between the two. Anyone else see it?

Lastnight, Jordin was great, as usual. I would like to see Blake and Jordin as the final two.

Ok, I thought I was the only one. I know Brits are known for bad dental work, but geeeez! Doesn't Barry Gibb have enough money to go see Dr. Dorfman???

My kids and I watched last night, and I thought it was all bad! I love Melinda and Jordin, but everyone was off last night, though Jordin was by far the best.....I keep waiting for a "knock my socks off" permormance by somebody, and still haven't seen one.....Really think Blake will be going home, though my daughter voted for him, and so did my sons because he was the only boy left.....

Honestly, I couldn't get past his hair. Couldnt he have taken some of that gray out and maybe had it styled just a bit? He doesn't have the mane that he used to, and it's time to trim it up.

Barry Gibb is less well-known for his songwriting than for being one of the Bee Gees but he has written 100's of songs that have been sung by other artists.

By the way, I think Lakisha will go home?!

She most certainly was, but a lot of her problems stemmed from song choice, and more importanly she ignored everything the 'guest mentors' told her. Barry Gibb told her to use the upper range with her song, and she said 'oh ok' then did exactly what she wanted.

As a matter of fact - it seems they have all ignored the advice that was offered to them. It was rumored that's one reason why Tony Bennett wouldn't come back and sing on the result show, because none of them took his advice.

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that the microphones seemed to be turned off or low volume during the AI quartet? It sounded funny to me.

Barry Gibb is from the Isle of Man. It's located in Western Europe and is an island in the Irish Sea, between Great Britain and Ireland. Gosh, you can GOOGLE anything, can't you? I don't know how I would function as a teacher without the internet! My kids know that if I don't know it, they can just "google it!"

I'm still a Melinda fan.But if she don't win.I hope its Jordan. She is an over all package. Looks, talent and personality.I think America will pick Jordan. But i like Melinda because she's a hometown girl and a wonderful singer. She will be a star no matter if she wins or not.

I hope Blake wins. Not only because he's my guy in the pool, but because I think that he's really different. I didn't like him boogie week, but he's done really well so far. Jordins too young imo, and Melinda is too plain to be the AI. I love her voice though.
