Are ya droppin' hints? {{Mother's Day}}

What "gift" would meke your Mother's Day the best ever?

Gift or Activity, doesn't matter.. just what would make your day awesome?

Giftwise, I would love a gift certificate to Accessory City ...oooohhhhh! ahhhhhh!
and from the kids, they like to make me breakfast of Waffle sticks and sugared fruits... Yum...
and then I get to be Queen for the Day and not do any of the chores for the day!--- YAY!!

How about you?

I'd be thrilled to just have the day off... But... instead we have to spend it with my mother in law. I think I'd rather do the laundry

Honestly, I would be thrilled to have my kids clean their room (well) and surprise me with that.

I feel like you all, I just want to have someone else do the chores I do for the day. Matt asked this morning where I wanted to go to eat and I just cringed - the wait for a table anywhere around here on Mother's Day can be upwards of 2+ hours - even places like LJS or Captain D's is out the door. I do not like to wait to eat anywhere. I do need some new mascara, I had pink eye the other day so I had to throw out all my eye make-up. Otherwise, I'm easy to please.

We do OUR mothers (husbands and mine)
a day early so that my kids can concentrate on me the day of.
Later in life I hope that what my kids do too... When they are married I hope they remember me sometime during the week leading up to the actual day but spend the DAY OF pampering their wives and showing their children how important it is to recognize all that mom does during the 364 other days of the year.

Hate it that you're thinking you'd rather do laundry.. that's yucky!

The only thing I want is a day to myself........and I mean a day where not only do I not have to do anything, but a day where someone else is actually doing the things I normally do so they are not piling up, so I have double the work the next day.

I received my Mother's Day gifts early...this also covers all my birthdays too...

The gift was, two very close family members that had not spoken in years, just recently started talking again. I am so happy! I do not need any material thing or for anybody to do anything for me. I am just happy a family relationship has been repaired. I love them so much and I am so happy they now talk! They live across country so I hope there is a reunion soon.

Happy Mother's Day all! I hope your day is wonderful!!!!

DH asked me yesterday if I mind if he plays golf on Sunday. What a special day for me! It's my very first Mother's Day and he's going to go play golf! Oh well, I'm treating my mom (and me) to a pedicure and lunch on Saturday. DH said that he would take me out to dinner at Outback on Sunday, but I don't imagine that will be much fun with a 9 month old when they are going to be that busy.

I don't bother wishing for things when I know I'll be getting a card and dinner out. I planned the dinner out because we have to plan it around *my* mother so my mother's day has always been about my mom and not me

I like that idea, might have to run that one by DH. I "reminded" him of the day and told him "just in case you want to get your Mom a card". He said he'll just call her, and that usually puts him in a foul mood, hence putting me in a FOULLER (is that a word???) mood. So, I am really liking this day before idea, thanks!!!

Oh yes, I told DH and the kids what I want, and I know I'll get it. I'm just spoiled that way, I guess But, the kids will get me other stuff, too, since they love to give gifts.

I don't want to go out to dinner....I'll be happy for DH to grill something at home, and we can just relax.

I am driving 400 miles to Albuquerque on Saturday to see my goddaughter graduate at noon on Sunday. They boys are staying home with dad. He'll get them off to school on Monday and I'll return before they get home.

So, I'm getting a day OFF for Mother's Day. Wish it didn't involve such a long drive.

We'll probably do Mother's Day on Friday night before I leave.
