Will you wear a bathing suit this summer?

If so, will you go the bikini route? or the tank suit? or???

I know that we have tons of tall, skinnies on this board...

Ugh-- I don't even want to THINK about a bathing suit this summer. I'm sure at some point I'll have to squeeze into one, much like a pig in a blanket, but I'll do it for the kids since they love to swim. And it will be a one piece.

I just bought a new suit - two piece (but NOT a bikini - those days are over LOL)

I got a tankini top with water shorts to match - I thought those would be really comfortable - and I'm not crazy about my thighs, so this should help

Can't wait to just lay out in the pool - if it ever stops raining here.

I am one of the tall skinnies you refer to.

but I have a tankini of sorts... still shows my belly button (so it rides higher than normal tankinis).

I do it more for sun protection than for looks though.

Just remember when you are at the pool or beach...there will always be someone better looking than you, but there will also be someone who looks worse!!!

I'm tall and not skinny, but not full figured either...I definitely won't be wearing a bikini after three kids and stretch marks...I do have a few nice two piece ones that the bottom rides up higher on the stomach to cover up the stretch marks...The top is more of a tank...Then I have a nice one piece with higher cut legs that criss crosses in the back...I can't stand those suits that look like they are made for older ladies...The ones with the skirts...blah...I guess they give you good coverage though... ~Lisa

Absolutely not! My body hasn't seen a bathing suit in years.

That's funny. I thought that about the skirtini too until last year. I looked at some last year, tried them on and loved them! AND most of the moms who can't do bikinis around here do the skirtini.

Here is the bottom I got last week:

Ocean Dream Skirtini Bottoms - Green

I got a matching tankini top, but it seems to be out of stock. It matches the band on the skirt.

Yes and first of all let me say I am almost 50 so even if I were thin I would not wear a bikini. I have two brand new (50% off of course!) bathing suits. They are two piece with little you know skirts over the bottom and the tops are tank top desing but a little longer than a tankini. I am very happy with them.

When we go camping I stay topless I like to get really tan.

I wear tankinis', one pieces and bikinis. We spend a lot of time at the pool and at the beach or at the lake on vacation. My body isn't quite as toned as it used to be but, at , 5'1", 110 lbs, giving birth to 2 children, and not working out, I think I look pretty dang good! Especially since I am pushing 40

I got my suit a year and a half ago. It is a tankini with boy cut bottoms. I got each piece separately at JCPenney, and they both are the same pattern.

They have some really cute styles there, where you can purchase each piece separate. And decide what kind of top and bottom you want to have.

I like my suit.

We only go to swim at the YMCA, and we only go every couple months.

I happen to be one of those "tall skinnies". No bikinis for me. In past years, I wore a tankini with board shorts bottom. Last year I wore a black tankini with a skirt bottom. What I really need is a top with padding and I'll be all set.

We have a pool, so I have several suits. One in a Speedo tankini top (I'm really big on top, and it covers a lot), and a skirted bottom. This is for when the in-laws or other people are around. I have a one-piece my mum gave me, which I don't wear, because it shows too much cleavage, so I'll save it for her when she visits. I also have two rather skimpy bikinis, to be worn around my husband only.

I'll be the one in line behind you. I'm a short fatty, there's nothing tall or skinny on this body.

For all the ladies (like myself) who are lining Omar's pockets, check out Ross. Last season, I went in there on a whim and actually found the perfect suit on the first try! I was there the other day and noticed a lot of high end larger size ones that have $80 or so retail tags, but are selling for like $12.99. I'm short and have the belly and butt and have found that the one piece ones that are dress shaped are the most flattering for me. The ones that are more of a skirt attached just look horrid on me. I usually come up empty when shopping for things like bathing suits and dresses, so this was a score for me!
