Gee, I have a lot of things: - Buy a book, a DVD, or a plant - Go out to eat at a new restaurant - Go to a museum - Go for a walk in the woods - Eat chocolate or cookies - Go visit my friend in another state I don't go for the beauty things. I have no patience for it. The woman who cuts my hair is astounded that I want a cut that is "wash and wear." I hate, hate, hate fussing with my hair. I went to another place a couple times where they tried to make getting my hair cut into a relaxing experience. It took them a freaking hour to cut and dry my hair! I thought I was going to jump out of my skin. I just wanted to shout, "go, go, go. Get me out of here!" LOL |

Pedicures are my favorite way to pamper myself, but I don't do it very often. As far as a way to pamper myself during the week-- watching my favorite guilty pleasure show, or spending a little quite time reading is what I normally do. Holly

Pedicures are one of my favorite ways to pamper myself too. Most of the time I do my feet myself, but I like to go get a professional pedicure 3-4 times a year. It just so happens that I'm treating my mom (and me ) to a spa pedicure tomorrow for Mother's Day. We go to the Aveda Institute to get our pedicures and we save $18 by going there and and having the work done by students instead of going to an Aveda Salon. From my experience, the students seem to go a little slower and take extra care since they are being graded on their work. The room is somewhat dimmed and they have several aromatherapy candles burning in there. It's so relaxing. The only thing that would make it better is if they had those massage chairs for you to sit in.

Manicures and pedicures at the Regal Nail Salon inside my local Walmart. And yes, they have the massage pedicure chairs! And massages now and then at a local "pricier" salon. But the massages are so worth it! I probably get a pedicure every 2 weeks now that sandal season is here - I have to have nice toes since I have to look decent for work. And when I'm done with my pedicure, I can shop in Walmart!

Sometimes I take a hot shower right before bed. I spend at least one day a week in my pajamas watching tv. (Hey I raised mine you can do it too in a few years LOL). I pamper myself by doing my hair and makeup everyday when I am leaving the house; it makes me feel put together and makes me feel confident and even more beautiful than my radiant self LOL. Ialso keep up my cuts, colors, etc. I pamper myself by reading good books, eating good food (yum for Mother's Day dinner I am making shrimp pasta but that's another thread) I sleep with at least five pillows and I don't leave the house until after "Judge Judy" and "The View". I guess you could say this old lady spoils herself!
