Hey Tigers fans, an ex-pitcher and Rookie of the Year award winner, Mark "The Bird" Fidrych owns a farm right up the street from me! My claim to fame. LOL Mark Fidrych - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

Don't get ME started. 1) I know Mark Fidrych (OK. I dont love him. But I have plenty of his baseball cards) OK. I have at least 2 of his cards... maybe. But how could you NOT know him, if he played for YOUR home town team. (and he did)2) I like ALL baseball teams. Except one. ![]() Jason in Mass. |

Another Yankees fan here! DH is originally from New Jersey, so he's been a lifelong Yankees fan and he got me hooked too. I'm so happy they got Andy Pettitte back! Not only is he a good pitcher, he's also easy on the eyes! When we were in New York a little less than 4 years ago we went to 2 Yankees games. It was so awesome! We keep talking about driving down to Tampa to see them play the Devil Rays, but last year I was not willing to sit out in the heat and sun since I was pregnant and this year hasn't worked out either. Maybe next year. |

The 2005 World Series Champions -- The Chicago White Sox. I wish they were doing better this year but it's still early.

I thought that was very cool, considering he's on the opposing team! One of the people I was with went to high school with Jeff Francoeur (Outfielder). ![]()

I love to attend games at Fenway, but I also really enjoy going to games when vacationing in other cities. Baseball games are fun and its neat to see how other teams and their fans enjoy the sport. We've only been to see the Indians, the Mets, and the Orioles on their home fields....but hope to see others. Oh and White Sox and Cubs growing up.... cj/ |

ROFL Im enjoying this. I agree with the PP (no - not the one that said 'Yankees suck' which is QUITE untrue): The one about going to other cities to see games, or even minor league games. When we went to Myrtle Beach, we took the girls to see the 'Myrtle Beach Pelicans' (AA or AAA Atlanta Brave, I think). The girls had a BALL, getting the autographs of a player <AND> the pelican Mascot (and a hug!) They didnt last more than 4 innings, but c'mon.. $5 or so a ticket. ![]() Anyone in New england can EASILY go to Pawtucket Red Sox games, and Im SURE there are some fun minor league arenas. Plus, most AAA or AA games have a 'promotion' night. Lastly, even if you know someone that has a peanut allergy, there are SOME minor (and major league - Twins!) teams that do 'peanut free' sections (or peanut free nights) sponsored by local allergy groups. So if your son or daughter want to go, and you're afraid, perhaps they can (JMTC) ![]() Oh, BTW - Go Red-Sox! (of COURSE I had to say that...)Jason |

What does this mean?? Re: PawSox - funny you should mention them. I'm taking my group (~20 people) at work to see one of their games in July for our summer outing. Never been and we're looking forward to it! The tickets were $10.... Yeah, we originally looked for Red Sox tickets, but that wasn't to be.... That's one of the drawbacks of Fenway.... |
