Angry How much are you paying for gas?

Since our last post was closed. We are now paying $3.11 a gallon as of today for regular unleaded, 2 weeks ago today gas here was $2.73. It is not even Memorial Day yet. My DD is paying $3.30 a gallon in WA and my brother is paying $4.30 in CA. So what is everyone else paying?

Well, earlier in the week, gasoline was $3.30 to $3.45 a gallon...I filled up yesterday when it went down to $3.04 (yeeee haww!!!). If I would have had a few gas cans I would have filled them up to at that price!!!

No complaints about $3.04...considering the fact that we have already hit a benchmark high of $3.30!

$2.78 but that is really cheap. In the town that I live in it is $2.94, I get the cheap gas on the way to school.

I just hope that it stays low and I can buy it too and from school.

It seems those east are paying the cheapest right now. Wonder why that is?!?
I filled up on Thursday when most places were charging $2.97.
I was fortunate and found a place for $2.89.
Friday prices jumped to $3.12.

This is just insane!!!

I'm in West Central Arkansas.

It might be a small part of it. Usually, where I live in West Central AR, we are amongst the lowest prices in the U.S. I just don't like the 10-15˘ jumps at a time.

I still say it's nothing but price gouging. Pure greed...........

I felt lucky last night . When I went to work (I drive 35 miles to get to work) it was still 2.97 and when I got off of work it had gone up to 3.15 . I waited until I drove home to see if it was cheaper and got it at 3.00 at Marathon. I just don't understand the big 15 to 18 cents jump. Part of me was wondering if the gas companies are doing this because they are anticipating the Don't buy gas on 3/15/07 emails that are going around. I know a wild thought, but just couldn't help wondering.

5/14 in Massachusetts. I'm looking at my empty tank, and thinking $2.97 seems like the best price.

Near chicago, gas went up 21 cents today! It is now $3.49 a gallon. Can't even afford to run errands. This is ridiculous.

$3.65 for regular unleaded yesterday in Santa Barbara County on California's Central Coast. There was a story on the news the other day that this county has the highest prices in the US, and from the looks of these posts, I guess they were right. Not exactly the kind of distinction I would have liked....

I'm moving to NJ, you can not pump your own gas there from what I've heard, guess that's ok, just so not used to it since I've not been to a station like that since I was maybe 6 or 7

We have a few stations that fill the tank for you. I'm not sure if they still wash the windows or not. They usually are a few cents more than the self serve places, but right now they are $3.00 just like everyone else for regular.

just when we thought that it couldn't possibly go any higher... Speedway (Michigan's largest gasoline company--over 300 stations statewide), who "sets" the tone for gas station prices, raised their gasoline to $3.66 a gallon while we were sleeping!

So much for Michigan's Gov. Granholm who last year said that any station found gouging will be penalized--yeah right...

It is $2.89 here in SE PA. Thanks to Giant rewards I got 50˘ off per gallon so I only had to pay $2.39. I can usually go about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks on a full tank between fill ups

NJ has some of the cheapest gas prices in the country and it's true -- it's a full service only state. You are not allowed to pump your own gas. I've seen it for as low as $2.79 and as much as $3.01 around here.

That would be awesome not to have to pump gas ......now why does your state do that?
