My Mother's Day Gift...awww...

My 12 year old, Alex, decided that he was going to plant me a garden for Mother's Day. Well, I went to Target for a bit (a bit always turns into an hour and a half)...I came home and he and three of his friends from the neighborhood have moved a wood pile and made a new garden plot - digging up the grass, turning the soil, and digging a trench around it. OMG, I almost cried....I can't believe that he is putting so much effort in to it...and that the other boys are too!

Just had to share...

That is awesome!! What a thoughtful little guy you have. I got treated to a pedicure with my Mother in Law today. I love my MIL so it was fun. I now have goldish orange toenails with black flowers on them. (It's a LOT cuter than it sounds...)

Thanks, ladies! Alex is indeed a sweetheart (when he wants to be <--- that part is because he is, after all, just 2 weeks shy of his 13th birthday and well, you know, teenagers can be moody...LOL.....but thankfully, boys are probably less moody than girls).

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY ALL!

That is a nice and thoughful gift. I remember one year, when my DD was little she cleaned out and organized my bathroom drawer for me after I complained that I couldn't find something. I though that was so sweet. OK , she is a little anal, so that was right up her alley.

Yesterday, both of my kids and my husband came to our letter carriers food drive at the post office. When I pulled up at the dock with the load of groceries I collected all day, it was nice to have them there to unload everything. Then they sorted the food for our local food bank. DD brought some friends along too, and they all worked very hard for about 3 hours.

That is so very nice of him. What a great kid! My DS and DD stayed up for 3 hours last night cleaning the basement and then arranged wooden blocks to spell "HAPPY MOTHER's DAY". They worked so hard and I was thrilled
