How was everyone's Mother's Day?

Mine personally sucked. My daughter (only being 2 years old) bought me a card, which was nice. But my husband decided to work all day long, yes all day long until around 10pm that evening (he works in the house). So it was me and my daughter alone all day long.

All I really wanted was to possible sleep in and maybe a nice bath, but that didn't happen. So it pretty much sucked. Is that horrible that I feel that way?

I guess mine wasn't too bad...I didn't have the urge to RUN AWAY this year! I swore after last years Mother's Day, I was forever going to spend it WITHOUT my children! (mental note: don't go to Splash Lagoon with a 4 and 6 yo on Mother's Day......) Dh and the girls slept out in our travel trailer (parked in the backyard) so I could have the king size bed to myself and to sleep in. Then they made me breakfast (not in bed, but I'll take what I can get ) and then surprised me with a George Foreman grill. We did have a few arguments throughout the day but all in all it was a good day.

have 4 kids 3 didnt say anything at all the 4th ripped up his card he made in school cause he was mad at me. We then went to the store <I have to take them all my husband is another state and we're following him in June, I've been alone with these kids since Sept 24 hours a day> Anyway we go to the store where their "animal instincts" kicked in and they chased each other and crawled all over the floor so I preceeded to leave the cart and came home and do nothing but listen to <in a innocent voice mind you> Why did we come home?" then they bicker but that's an everyday thing I swear they better be glad their so cute <and that i could never do it anyway> or I'd run away!

Mine was half sucky. Does that count? I guess I shouldnt expect more but for some reason I always do.

In the morning the boys wished me a Happy MD and gave me an envelope with a computer printout of my gift. It is a book that I really want but doesnt get released until the end of the month. Well, nice thought but basically I got a piece of paper for MD.

Then... the boys sat around staring at each other and basically being bored and bothering me until I told them they could go on the computer. Then I didnt hear a peep out of them.

I dont even know what I would have liked them to do differently, but I would have liked the day to seem special for longer then it took them to hand me an envelope and say happy MD to me once.

I got a flower from my son on Friday (brought it home from school) and my baby said "mama" (while pawing at me for food). On actual Mother's Day, my 6 year old daughter said I love you and Happy Mother's Day a few times, and brought 2 stray animals inside (still don't know where the cat is, I heard it growling at my cat in my bedroom last night...), I got to sleep in til 9:30, my husband left the state around 10am (job hunting and we're probably going to move this summer to wherever he works), baby wanted to be held almost all day and I had no help, at least they could find themselves something to eat so I didn't have to cook!

Mine was ok. DH gave me a back rub first thing in the morning, DD made me some toast with butter for breakfast, I opened my presents, with were 5 Lifetime DVD movies (we don't get Lifetime on our cable, so I was thrilled with this) and DD has made me some coasters in pottery class. We went to church, all moms were given flowering plants, a very nice gesture I thought! After church DH came home and took a nap, then when my other DD got here with her two kids (they bought me a yummy chocolate fudge cake with happy Mothers Day on it) we were dressed and headed out in the backyard to the pool, DH asked me to fix him a cooler to take with him while he went to cut the grass at our other house (used to rent it out, now we just use it for storage, so we have to keep up the yard) I'm like I don't think so I haven't done anything for two hours while you were taking a nap and now that I have company you want me to do things for you, I don't think so, so he went off on his own, and mowed the grass, LOL, without a cooler of drinks. Then he came back and went swimming after my other DD left, then decided he didn't want to grill out as originally planned, so I had to cook dinner. He was supposed to grill out hots dogs hamburgers and chicken. Well, they got hot dogs cooked in the oven. My third DD called me she lives in WA and wished me a Happy Mothers Day.

I worked the arena gate at a horse show (my second job) for 11 hours on Saturday and 9 hours on Sunday and came home Sunday night dirty, sunburned and tired. My 17yo dd said "Happy Mother's Day" over her shoulder when I walked in the door. My 14yo dd forgot it was Mother's Day. I cleaned myself up and took the girls out to dinner, where they proceeded to argue through most of the meal. After we got home, my 17yo left to spend the rest of the evening with her friends, and my 14yo spent the evening in her room. I went to bed. Happy Mother's Day to me....

Mine started good. My son had given me my gift early (fine with me) so I spent the day with my boyfriend. He let me sleep late, cooked breakfast, went shopping with me (including the craft store), went out the the cemetary to leave my mom's flowers, he cooked dinner, then held me when I feel apart and cried and cried and cried more.

Good day but it fell apart
