Thursday, May 24th is the last day! It's suppose to be a full day but I think unless something fun is happening, my kids will be coming home early that day. They have awards that morning and usually they have a "reward" day for their hard work but we've heard nothing about that this year. Anyway, I'm as excited about school being out as my kids are. Give me until June 1st and see I'm still excited, LOL!  |

Mine finished up today. We did the award thing today. I can already tell it's going to be a looooooooooooonnnng summer. lol

Mine get out the same day...next Friday, May 25th...I've been down here for ten years and still can't used to them getting out so early and going back so early...middle of August. I grew up in NJ and we got out mid June and didn't go back until after Labor Day. I prefer it that way. To me the summer just seems like it should be June, July, and August. Friday the 25th at noon! Alot of us take the kids to the beach that day and have a pinic lunch so its really fun. The only reason we go on the last day though is to collect report cards!

My kids are out Wed- May 23. All they are doing next week though is goofing off all 3 days though. We go back August 20 this year. Usually it's a week or 2 earlier but there has been a movement down here to have them start later so they are doing it gradually- this year the 20th and the next year add 1 more week. I personally don't see what's the difference- instead of ending May- they'll be ending in June- it's still the same amount of time off.

May 30th and yes we have off for Labor Day and have to come back for 2 days....do you think anyone will??  Your last day of school is my bday! I am from NY and never had to go till then! I always felt that it made a great gift to me no school!! Did they add days because of snow days??? Quote:

June 7th is the last day here and they go back August 27th.

DD gets out May, Thursday 24th at 1:20 p.m. (Sitka, Alaska) I believe they start back up the last week of August this year.

When we get out all depends on snow days, if we use 6 it was supposed to be June 21st, but I don't think we used all of them this year so that's why we are getting out early. I can't wait!

My kids' last "real" day is also Friday 25th. They are out Monday 28th for Memorial Day, Tuesday 29th is essentially a throwaway day, Wednesday 30th are field trips, out Thursday 31st for inservice, then Friday June 1st is optional report card day.

We have a half day Tuesday (May 22nd) We go back August 9th for a half day, and the first full day is August 11th |
