Ok, this morning I see on craigslist, this guy in A2 has a complete set of 1965 World Book Encyclopedias (20 volumes).

I reply that I would like them. (he is giving them away).

First off, I have a small library of books, some dating back to the early 1800's...I love old books!!

I tell DH that I have to pick up this set of encyclopedias tomorrow (Sunday).

I think it will be cool to read what they thought was "fact" at the time in 1965 (plus that is the year I was born!!)





So, when I tell DH about getting these books he says:


"Why would you want something THAT OLD?????"

I could have slapped him.

Trying to make light of it......Assuming that your hubby is older than you:

Tell him that you have thought about it and he's right, Why would anyone want something so old, so tell him now that he is older than the books, , , you're ready to trade him in for something younger!

Seriously, husbands can be inconsiderate, especially when it's something that they don't care about....which could be the case, he just doesn't want to have spend the time to pick them up .

I hope you get your books though. It would be a nice pc of history to have, and it would extra special since it is the year of your birth.....Good Luck!
