We bought a Wii

DH and I went to the mall the other day to buy some tools at Sears. We walked by EB and they had a sign up We have Wii's. I saw a guy standing there and asked him do you really have them? since everyone has been sold out since before Christmas I was just curious.

Well DH and I continued to browse around the mall and he asked me want to go back and buy one of those Wii's? I am not a video game player, I play computer games but have never touched the Xbox 360 or playstation 3 that we have, Anyways I told him if he thought him and DS would play it and it isnt that expensive if he wanted it we could go get it. So we did.

Well I tell you me, dh and ds have played that thing all weekend. We have bowled, played tennis. golfed and my arms are so darn sore I can't lift them above my head lol. We haven't laughed and giggled like that in a long time. It was alot of fun and I am glad we bought it. Just watching us swing our arms around to play tennis or golf is hysterical. We ended up going out and getting the Tiger Woods Golf for it and played for a few hours last night.

If you have thought about getting it or looking for something to play with your family that is not like a typical game system go out and get it. I hate the 360 and playstation. I don't like playing with the controllers but with the Wii and actually having to do the movement to play the game it makes it more fun.

I agree 100%. It is nothing like any system that has ever come out. Costco has a bundle pack right now with Zelda, the Wii, and two controllers.

WWHHHEEEEE! I am debating on getting one of these systems. It seeems alot more interactive than they others do. We don't have any kind of gaming system in the house and never have since DH and I got married.....are daughters haven't really been interested but, my now 10 DD has been looking at them ever since they came out. Are they really worth it??

Just be careful. A TON of people have ruined their TV's when the remote slips from their hand and goes flying into the tv set.

The newer wii's have a better wriststrap, and you can also get a rubber grip battery cover for the wiimotes.

We got one for the family for Christmas and we all love it, I have never been into video games, but love the sports games that came with it, and Wario SmoothMoves, is another great game for the whole family to play, we always end up busting a gut! This is actually something our whole family enjoys together......even grandmas and grandpas when they come visit.......

A great find that we couldn't do without are the wiimote chargers, because we were going through batteries like crazy.....

For those that have the older Wiis, you can get a replacement strap here - click me!

Another plus is GameCube games are playable on the Wii.

May I ask about how much do they cost? How much are games? Are there plenty of choices for games?
My son would love one.

The system with the sports pack was $249.00 extra contoller with a game pack was $49.00. Games are around $39.00-$49.00 and I saw used games starting at $10.00.

WII is the best ever. I finally finished Zelda and it was the best video game I have ever played. It took me over 75 total playing hours to finish the stupid game (since X-Mas). I'm sure some others could finish it sooner, but I had a blast playing it. We have fun when our friends come over and compete playing the sports games. We kick the kids out and take over the basement. It's Wii-eally Fun!!

My son got the Wii when it first came out (we were second on the preorder list, and they only got 2 in) for his birthday.

We have : Wii Play, Wario Ware, Wii Sports (of course!), and will soon have Mario Party 8 (we preordered it way back in February).

We have bought (but already sold) : Sonic and the Secret Rings, Zelda, Rayman, Avatar. DH couldn't get the hang of Zelda, DS didn't really like Sonic, and DS already beat Rayman and Avatar.

We bought Paper Mario (for the Wii) on ebay and it should arrive any day.

And we rented Elebits from a video game store and I am hoping to buy it soon.

We all love the Wii!!!

My kids love the Sonic and the Paper Mario games, waiting for the Mario Party 8, we preordered when we got our wii...rented rayman, avatar, excite truck, and the kids didn't really care for them.....We usually rent the games before we buy them, to see if we like them, except for things like Mario, my kids love anything Mario.....You can pick up some games on Ebay at pretty good prices, or your local video or game stores sell used games too, and usually they have a warranty so there isn't any fear in getting a bad game
