Can someone tell me why there is such a huge reward for finding this little girl? I find it very sad that she is missing and the parents weren't there, but kids go missing all the time and I've never heard of a 5 million dollar reward.

The parents are well known doctors whereever they are from.....darn it I just read her story in People mag. A bunch of celeb's have put up a reward for her. Her parents put her and her twin brothers down for the night and then went out to eat with friends......the parents came back to the house they were staying and checked on them every half and hour. At 10:00 the mom came back and the little girl was gone. The reason they didn't have a babysitter was b/c they didn't trust strangers with the care of their children.

Okay do I sound a little pissy about this subject YES!!! How do you leave a almost 4 year old and two 2 years old home alone? What if no one has taken this child, she just got up in the middle of the night to find mom and dad and went outside to look for them and got lost and hurt. Someone apparently opened the sliding glass door. Could that have been the 4 year old or some intruder? Who knows, I just hope they find her and bring her home safe!! I really do feel for this little girl and her parents but, why, why, why would you ever leave your kids at home alone?? I'm sure that is a question they will be asking themselves for the rest of their lives.

And just so no one takes this the wrong way, No I would never judge someone for their mistakes as a parent but, I know myself and I would ALWAYS question why did I leave them home alone. Not even from the fear of someone taking them but, what if the house caught fire or the kids just got up and no one was there!! Sad and Scary. I do hope they find this little one alive and unharmed.

They don't trust their children with strangers, but they just up and leave kids by themselfs and think thats better? MORONS!!!! I don't think they will find this child at all I think shes mixed in a pedophile ring. How sad.

The parents are from Great Britain, I believe, and there are some well-known English celebrities who contributed (J.K. Rowling, Simon Cowell, Sir Richard Branson, as well as others). The mom is a GP and the dad is a cardiologist. I, too, was surprised at the very large reward. J.K. Rowling supposedly contributed $5M of that...

I just hope the little girl is found, alive of course. It's sad that she is paying for her parents bad judgement. Hopefully the 5 mil will entice the kidnapper into returning her.

I have a 4 year old, he'd be so scared if I left him even at home to walk 2 houses down to the corner of our street and have his brothers with him. I'd think they could have least left with hotel sitters they'd then have suspects but better yet taken the kids with them.
