HELP! I scratched my Stainless Steel Fridge!

I was trying to remove a long scratch my daughter put in the fridge and now I have made it worse! My DH is gonna kill me! I used barkeepers Friend to try to polish it out, but it didnt do anything, so then I used a brillo and went very lightly oer the scratch in the direction on the finish, however, it is really noticable now. I wish I had just left it alone. Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this?

TIA

I think Flipper had this problem a few months ago.......pm her maybe she can remember some of the suggestions....or you can search flip's thread she started and maybe find some suggestions that way as well.

I read on another web site that if you use Revere Copper and Stainless Steel cleaner (it's made for the copper bottom pots) and rub in the direction of the grain (very important) with some elbow grease the scratches will disappear. I know I can get this right in my grocery store. Good luck

There is something called "Scratch-B-Gone" by Restore Solutions, google it, that may help!

The major problem is that the original scratch is mostly gone, but now the finish on the area I messed with does not match the rest of the fridge. is there someting that I can put on it (besides kids artwork!!) that will blend them back...god I hope so, I am so sick over this...

Contact the manufacturer. They've probably heard this story before and can suggest something.

Good luck. We all know the feeling when something gets nicked or scratched. I hate car door dings.
