Does anyone know anything about Quickbooks 2007?

I'm about ready to pull my hair out! We just upgraded from the 2006 version to the 2007 version and I'm having problems with the payroll liabilities part. (so far we've been at this for 5+ hours ) I have been on the phone with tech support (for who knows how long now) and I don't think they have a clue as to what I'm talking about. I finally figured out the problem...it's with the pay period dates...I know what they should be but she can't tell me HOW to fix the dates. Can anyone maybe guide me to fix this?

TIA!

GOOD LUCK, J! I had an absolute terrible time with it. I finally called my accountant and said, "guess what, your getting ALL of our receipts and payroll from now on"!

Why do they have to change things when the other was perfectly fine?

Sorry I could be of any help!!

OMG, I JUST got off the phone with support....I was told I was on the phone with them since about 1:30......that's almost THREE HOURS AGO! Anyway, I KNOW the lady did not have a clue what I needed done. Then after trying a few things she told me to go into pay liabilities in a different spot, put in the dates I need and bring up the report. Well.... THAT SHOWS THE CORRECT AMOUNTS I WAS LOOKING FOR TO PAY!!!!!!! Why she couldn't have told me that 2+ hours ago is beyond me. And THAT liability screen is the one I'm used to! I so agree, why change something that works just fine.

I had a problem with support a few years ago too, it was concerning W-2's...line 16. It wouldn't let me adjust the amount there....so I called support, they were clueless. So while I was on the phone with them, I figured out what needed to be done to fix it. Some support I tell ya.

OMG I spent 45 minutes trying to explain to the guy at Intuit about a problem with my Quicken Deluxe, I know Qucikbooks is also from Intuit. My register was acting whacky and I explained it really simple to the guy. My balance was $308.63 the next transaction was $6.16 and it showed my balance as $115.47 I told him it wasnt subtracting properly. He could not grasp what I tried to tell him for 45 minutes that my register seemed to have a mind of its own and could not subtract correctly he ended up putting me through to someone else and they fixed it in 15 minutes flat.

Sometimes I wonder about the people Intuit hires. I've loved their products and been faithful for years but when I couldnt upgrade and had to call support because the download wouldnt work and then this I am seriously thinking I may switch to Microsoft products and other products for my needs.

Glad they fixed the problem, How different is Quickbooks now? I havent worked on Quickbooks since 2001 sure its really changed.

Well, when we upgraded to the 2006 version, I LOVED it. I don't even remember what the previous versions were like, but the 2006 was awesome. This upgrade isn't too different in places, as far as the entering bills and paying bills. The payroll part is completely different but I figured it out on my own. What got me was the dang liability payments. I could not figure it out at all. After we added some liabilities (which should have come thru with the upgrade) all the period dates were different for each one....they should be the same dates for all. Hence the call to support. That was my first mistake! LOL I would have done better calling the zoo and speaking to an elephant. I haven't had to enter a new employee yet so I don't know if that's different either. I'm sure it is if payroll is different. I'll get used to it I'm sure but geesh! What a hassle!

I don't know where Intuit gets their support people either, they really need to re-train them or something.
