You will not believe this, just today I have looked all over our area and cannot find one. I guess I'm going to have to order online. Although I don't know where to find them online either. I couldn't believe how much they seemed to help everyone. I can't wait to give it a try. I swear I go through a box or so of tissues a week. It's just crazy. Laura Edited to add... I just found them at Drugstore.com they were only $14.99. Here's a link if anyone else is interested. I use something similar, website below. My ENT actually sells them in his office. I started using it after sinus surgery and now I am a beliver. I use to use it everyday, now just when I feel congested or the pollen count is high. It is amazing. The product I use comes with packages of salt and baking soda already mixed. You just add the warm water. I found the salt only burns. I like the prepackaged powder so I know it is the right mix. NeilMed Products - Sinus Rinse, Nasal Rinse, Sinusitis, Rhinitis, Allergies |

My ENT doctor recommended NeilMed Sinus Rinse. It is pretty much the same process as what the OP listed but seems (from what I have read from the links) to be ALOT cheaper. The doctor gave me a starter kit that included the bottle along with a few packets of the mixture that you add to the water (DISTILLED water--no burn!). But, CVS does stock the complete kit, too (that's where I get my sinus rinse). It works wonderful! The bottle is plastic and has a screw on top. The water is sucked up from the bottom and you don't have to hold your head back or anything. You lean over a sink, spray it up one of your nostrils and it drains down the other side. Do the same with the other side. The kicker--it only costs about $12 for a pack of 100. Plus, I registerd at the website and they sent me an email for a $7.50 rebate on two boxes. I had just gone an purchased my second box so I sent it in the next day (thank goodness I had kept my receipt from the first one stuffed down in the box) and had my rebate in about two weeks. The mixture is the same as what's in the one from Oprah, I think. It's Sodium Choloride and Sodium Bicarbonate. If I remember my chemistry, I think that's salt water and baking soda, right? Plus, the ENT doc told me to use DISTILLED water when I mix it with the packet and there will be no burn. He was right! They work GREAT and are cheap!! I have allergies (I'm in the process of building up to my maintenance dose for my allergy injections now--I am having to get two shots twice a week now) and am having multiple sinus infections yearly. The ENT suggested this. Honestly, I'm not sure if it is actually working to prevent less sinus infections because I am in the process of getting another one now, but I know my head does feel better after using it. I get up every morning, pour the distilled water into the bottle (8 oz), heat the water in the microwave for 30 seconds, pour in the packet of mix and flush out my sinuses. I asked on my last visit and it can safely be done up to twice a day. Obviously, it's not the most pleasant thing and it messy but it does get the majority of the crap out of your head!

I also had sinus surgery and my ENT gave me a NeilMed Sinus Rinse Kit. You can buy the kits and refills of the packets at Walgreens and CVS - you may even be able to get them at Wal-Mart and your local grocery store. Aside from just being a little grossed out by squirting water up my nose, it really works well. I usually fill the bottle with water and stick it in the microwave for about 20 seconds (just don't screw the cap on or you'll have a mess) to warm it up a little. Also, if you're going to do it in the evening, make sure you do it about an hour before you go to bed or your sinuses will still be draining. I've slacked off on using my kit, but I really need to start again because I've been getting some mild sinus headaches from all the smoke we have in the air from the fires.

Is this the stuff? Rite Aid : Unadvertised Specials I got it free after rebate at Rite Aid a couple months ago. I could send to whoever wants to try it if you pay postage? It's 1-2 pounds from 07827 if you want to see how much it'll be. Or just try Rite Aid, it was in a strange spot too, I had a hard time finding it when it was on sale btw.
