I have the two-hour show on tape.

DH, DD and I fast-forwarded through the show to the very end and didn't see the actual announcement.

Soooo, we went back and went through the entire two hours much more slowly -- but still didn't see the actual announcement!

What part of the show was it announced -- the very beginning, the middle, the very end?

Geez.

Oh my.. The show ran about 5 minutes long. It was in the last 5 minutes.

JORDIN won!

My oldest DD and I did the same, sat there fast forwarded through to the end this morning, and nothing.........I love my DVR, but sometimes It makes me really mad

I had the same thing happend 2 hour show taped and no announcement. Like another poster said love the dvr but geez it never tapes more if a show runs overtime.

I heard on the radio here this morning that FOX is in some serious "hot water" beacuse they went over their time allotment. Those of us that have DVR or TIVO did not get it recorded. Luckily, my hubby and I had FOX on when it ended so we actually rewinded the next show. I imagine that there were lots of people that are in the same boat.

The DVR only knows what the guide says. If it goes over it has no way of knowing that. But you can manually do it yourself. When you hit record you can go over and make the end time whatever time you want. How you would know something is going to run over I don't know. I guess if it something you really want and think they might go over add 5 or 10 min. There is no way I want to do this with everything I record. It would be nice if they could come up with a better way. I bet AI is going to hear from a lot of people that did the very same thing.

The announcement of who won

I did have my TiVo set to record an extra 2 minutes, but I guess that wasn't enough.

I'm surprised most of you die hard reality show addicts aren't clued in that you should always set the VCR/DVD to record a half hour extra for the finale show (just in case). It happens so often that it shouldn't come as a surprise. Even the regular shows are doing it. Drives us crazy, shows running 35 minutes instead of 30.

I think that AI owes an apology to their viewers. They had so much "fluff" on this finale show, that there is no excuse. I KNEW that people who depended on this were going to be pi$$ed! Letters need to be written to the producers of this show!

heheh I ummm dont watch it so ummm yeah I watched once to see what the hype was over Sanjaya or whatever his name was <still trying to figure out why some people was mad at him when it was veiwers voting for him> but dont otherwise

I was watching the show, then flipped over to another channel when a commercial ran. By the time I flipped back, the show was over. I assumed (yeah, yeah, ass out of you and me) that the show was just a reunion show and that the outcome would be on tv tonight. Of course tonight, there was no AI. WTH? How could it have been that uneventful that I missed it on one commercial? So, I assume that Jordin won?
