| Lost Whales in California
Ok this may seem like a stupid question but the poor whales are lost and hurt and they are stressing them trying to make them move back to the ocean. Their wounds are big and not healing because of the freshwater and they are now "not optimistic" about this. Question is why don't they tranquilize them and pull them back to the ocean and set them free instead of letting them suffer? I feel so bad...I am a huge animal lover and hate to see something suffering. If this doesn't make any sense or you haven't been following the story here is the link on cnn Rescuers halt recordings to push whales back to sea - CNN.com |

I never thought of that it is just aggravating to me. But these people study these animals and know they weigh approx 1 ton for each foot surely they can get a rough measurement with them surfacing like this wouldn't you think? I mean to tranquilize any animal you more than likely need the weight but they tranquilize them all the time in the wild if they are hurt or what not and there is no way they know all their weights. There has to be someway to get them back to saltwater.
