what has society become when we are looking at Jordin and think fat. It actually never crossed my mind to notice her weight. I hope that sh edoesn't fall into the Hollywood trap were you have to weigh 20 pounds under average to be considered beautiful!!

I think that Jordin is such a perfect role model for teenage girls... I have been telling my DH that ever since our niece came home from a treatment center for her eating disorder.

We buy the magazines and watch the celeb gossip stuff, go to on-line blogs that are made by slamming others.

I actually wrote a long letter to the infamous "Perez Hilton" after he slammed Christy Brinkley and Billy Joels daughter for not being attractive enough. I told him that I after being a FAITHFUL on-line follower for over a year that I would not continue on his website ever again. And you know what at first I thought it was funny what he said about her. AND THEN SHE RESPONDED. It was such a beautiful and self-assured letter about who she was I just could not read his site ever again. Back to the letter I wrote Perez...I said "how as a mother could I ever read his site again that promotes such a twisted version of what feminine beauty should be" and "I can't tell my daughters that they are beautiful if I continue to support someone who constantly trashes ppl for not attaining this unattainable version of beauty" This is what I am doing to send a message to all the people who promote this kind of garbage and that is exactly what it is....Garbage!

My DDs role model is Jennifer Hudson, I think that she is a beautiful role model for girls.

Amen to that! If I wanted to listen to that, I'd just tune in to the gaggle of teen girls here on a daily basis! Meow! Some level of cattiness is ok but Perez was whine on steroids.

I do think the general public is a lot of the problems we have. we FEED the media crap...well, most of us. I don't buy the trash mags or read the trash sites. I don't even know WHO the heck you guys are talking about Perez???? I'll look at stuff here on MYC but I don't read gossip sites or mags and turn the channel when that crap is on TV. It's hard enough as a woman to have a good body image but when the media is force feeding us that a size zero is perfect and a size 8 or 10 is fat....that is just wrong and twisted and to me, that's what the media does. If the public didn't buy into it....it would go away but you can't control what others are watching

This stick blonde girl is a b**ch that's in that clip!!! I cannot believe that she would say all that crap. Jordin is a 17 year old girl that looks like the average 17 year old girl. She is beautiful and may not be bone thin but............that's friggin' OK! All people were not born like that toothpick blonde little witch on that show! Sadly, she probably is right that her record label will have her lose weight! Fair??....Heck no!! But...most likely true. Jordin was heavier than she is now when she started Idol. She has lost weight throughout the show and IMO, she looks GREAT now!!!! She should be a role model for girls....just the way she is right now!!! It's OK to have some meat on your bones!!!!!!!! She is NOT obese by any means!!!

Jordin for her height is not "obese" at all....she is tall & healthy....my goodness are we all suppose to weigh 95 lbs?

I did see him, on finale night, and he's still fat. But I'm not slamming on the man because he is large. I'm just saying if they hold Jordin to a certain standard, they need to hold the men to the same (won't happen but).

I don't think that Rueben is nearly a heavy as he was but, he is still quite large.
