...Martin told the court he was sorry the shooting occurred but said the teen knew how much Martin cared for his lawn and provoked him.

"He stepped on it and he walked 40 feet through it," Martin said. "I cared about it. I cut it every five days."


Prosecutors alleged Martin had confronted the teen earlier in the day when he walked into Martin's yard on his way to a friend's house, then loaded his .410-gauge shotgun and waited more than three hours for him to return...

Martin doesn't sound one bit remorseful.
I wonder who is taking care of his precious, 'to-die-for' lawn now.

Sad that this kid is dead. I can't imagine how his family feels.

I read a story the other day that if you didnt believe in guardian angels or God then it kinda made you think .

Man parked on the railroad tracks was going to leave his girlfriend in the car just as the train came so it'd kill her and he'd get away. Well the train hit the car and slung the car at him, killed him and last I read the girlfriend was in the hospital not sure if she survived or not hope she does, least the nutso wont be able to try to hurt anyone again

sounds about like the thing that happened a little ways from here. 2 teen agers killed another teen cause he rode his 4 wheeler on their families feild. beat and kicked him to death.

My DH cuts our lawn every 5 days and he doesn't shoot all the kids that walk across it...and we get a lot of kids from the school down the street. This guy was just wacked! Granted we've talked about shooting paintballs at the cats that use our garden for a litter box, but we'd never really do it.

Although it was totally crazy to shoot the boy, I have to wonder what sort of a boy would torment an old man?

There were drive-by shootings around here today and friday aimed at teenagers.A 17 year old girl was shot and killed walking home with her bf and another 15 year old was shot while walking to a food store.
