I'm enjoying this walk back down freebie lane.

I remember more.com and their 'buy it now and lock the price in forever deals. That didn't last.
What was that kid's toy site that sold all our personal info when they went under?
I'm not sure who got more excited over the deals - me for saving the $, my son for all the free/cheap deals we got (the smarterkids software sales rocked) or the dogs whenever the pets.com boxes would show up. I've still got their shirt, some stickers and the sock puppet (although the hamster ate his nose off). I swear they recognized the logo.
Oh - and Great Entertaining . com had the most awesome after season sales - still use my 'going out of business' $1 dragonfly mugs and have tons of candles for every party occasion.
The UPS & mail guys would visit so much they both finally asked where I was getting the deals.
We had a birthday party one year and the kids got toys that cost me about $2, but went for $20 in the stores.
I remember the peanut butter, clover wars & proper crayon 'discussions' that would make Rosie v. Elisabeth look like a kitten fight.
I used to email 2ndhandnews for help on my dating woes, trade child stories with Lexis53, Rams' Fan and Abrant and make Catt's receipes for holidays. I still have the old printout in my recipe collection.
