UUUUMMMMMM NO!

Okay, my husband and I have this debate all the time! He says all babies are beautiful and I say no way on Gods green earth that is true.

I was lucky, I had really beautiful babies and my SIL had little monkeys. no kidding she was trying to figure out how to wax them right after she delivered!! They were very sweet b/c what little angel isn't but, beautiful uhmmm sorry NO!

So what is your take. I always think of the Seinfeld episode where they all went away together to meet someones new baby and they kept saying "Oh the baby is breathtaking"! cause they couldn't figure out what else to say!!! Too funny!

P.S. I know ALL babies are a blessing but, thats not what this thread is about KWIM??

my girls were beautiful,but my son(bless his heart!!!! hey ,I am in teh south !!!) looked like a buddah or Uncle Fester!!!!no hair ,no teeth for the longest time.the only thing that was helping was his blue eyes......
so no ,not all babies are beautiful...but DS was a very beautiful toddler,when his blond hair grew and he grew into his ears.......

I still tell my son he looked like ET when he was a baby

A friend of mine had a little girl that looked like a hamster to me. I personaly think (almost) all babies are ugly until a few months old, including mine.

I know I'll Burn in Hell for saying this, LOL. But no not all babies are beautiful or even cute at Birth.
My Brother's 2 girls ( LORD FORGIVE ME FOR SAYING THIS ) Looked like BABY RATS.
They didn't have 1 strand of hair on their head and they were winkled. lol

Of my 7 Children everyone But 1 was a very pretty Newborn. My 7 year old well , mm well, umm He was Well dang guess you cant burn but once lol. He was U-G-L-Y !! there now I said it lol.

He like one of my niece's had the Biggest Head of any new born I've ever seen. I mean his head was Big !! He was short too ( Didn't help lol ). He l;looked like a Bobble Doll (ROFLMAO)

My one grandson ( 2 years old ) Is cute But he has the Biggest Mouth of any child I have ever seen. I swear I think he can put an Apple in there and still have room for a Orange LOL.. But he's cute as long as he dont open that mouth. lol

I too think babies are much prettier and cute when they *Fill out* Vs just being born. Now I have seen Newborns that were breath taking at birth, Very pretty skin color, Head shape just perfect, Just really a beautiful breath taking Child at birth.

But in the eye's of the Mother ALL babies are beautiful ( Or so they keep telling themselves that )

I answered yes because all babies I've seen are beautiful - with the exception of one. I had a coworker whose baby looked like a little rat! She was not a happy baby. Her face was always pinched and angry looking. We all agreed, she was not a pretty baby.

I do not think all newborns are cute. Mine were, but not everyone else's! And I've always felt bad that I could notice this.

However, within a month, I think all of them evolve into real beauty. It actually takes me by surprise each time, too. The ones who were, shall we say, "least cute" end up looking nothing like their original little selves.

And then all babies become cute!

I do hearing screenings on newborns and I can say that no they are not all beautiful! At 1 day old some of them are pretty freaky!

Newborns = NO... I've seen some pretty 'unfortunate' looking newborns!
Babies = YES... I think that all babies are cute by about 3 months of age when they start to develop a little bit of personality and get good coloring.

No unfortuantely they are not all beautiful or even cute. Mine was all very beautiful and got many many compliments on their looks and many thought i should put them in commericals. They all had perfect coloring, head shape and just the cutest faces. My 17 month old is to cute for words and if i could i would put her in commericals.

That is SO FUNNY!! DD #2's initials are ET so we have this long, drawn out story about how she was born and the dr. handed her to us and we looked at her and thought she looked like ET so that is how we named her Elizabeth T.!!!! She really didn't but it is a great story that she LOVES!

No, not all babies are cute and cuddly but these are all special and loved by their families.

This is one of the great ways God works, he makes it so you think YOUR kid is the most beautiful in the world when you should never really take the blanket off them in public!

This is awful to say and I know this but my niece ohhh she was ugly and to be honest she still isn't cute and she is 7. Her personality now I think has alot to do with it but when she was a baby nope she wasn't cute at all.

No, some babies are just not cute, but they are all charming in their own way. Luckily, my son was a beautiful baby - I was so afraid I would have an ugly baby - LOL. My sister's babies, on the other hand, were not very attractive (and they are girls!). Now that they are older, they are beautiful little girls with very long dark hair and big eyes.

A former pastor of ours told us once that when visiting a newborn, and, of course, he couldn't lie if the baby was really ugly -- he'd say "Wow, that's SOME baby!!" And the newborn's parents would just beam!!

Nope, I've seen some UGLY babies.

This couple at my parents old church had a baby that looked like a MONKEY. Seriously, when you looked at her you expected her to make monkey sounds. She was a baby chimpanzee, I kid you not.

I hope she grew out of it.

I was about to say the exact same thing about the baby a couple down the street had when I was a kid. We (my friend and I) were so excited to see the baby, and I kid you not this poor child looked like a chimpanzee. Fortunately, both my parents and my friends parents had taught us to never insult someone. So all we could do is say "awwww, she looks just like you" (pretty much the truth). No, not all babies are cute.

All babies are NOT beautiful! I always say isn't he/she sweet if the baby isn't cute.


I do think it is funny to read that so many said that their babies were cute but other babies weren't.

They may all be beautiful on the inside or have beautiful personalities but let's face it: there are some ugly onion headed babies out there. Some big headed and too small headed and just plain ugly looking bug eyed or beady eyed babies.

its pretty funny because i agree that not all babies are cute. I thought that i was the only one who felt this way but thankfully I am not. When I see an ugly baby I always comment on something like their eyes but i just cannot bring myself to say " OH YOUR BABY IS SO CUTE" when they are really not. So I will comment on something that they have that is cute ( and hopefully there is something)

I know that all babies are not cute because I was not a cute baby! Way too much hair, monkey looking! My mom, however, thinks I was cute. She goes on and on about how the nurses first brought me to her with a barrette in my hair! Well, they had to do something with all of that monkey hair! I still tease her about there being so few baby pictures of me and so many of my older brother. I have to agree, though, that I have never seen a newborn that I thought was cute!

No, not all babies are beautiful. Sorry to say, but they aren't. My own DD is a great example. When she was a newborn, she was skinny and wrinkly and just puny (of course, she was preemie, but still...); she looked a lot like a little monkey. Now, she's gorgeous, IMO, but for the first few months, she was a bit creepy looking, particularly if you saw her without clothing, LOL.

I guess I look at from a different perspective--I think all babies are beautiful. I love babies and I have never seen a baby that I didn't think was cute. Now, granted some of the were so ugly they were cute...but they were cute all the same!

ok so i was just thinking it seemed kinda mean but is true about babies looking funny, then i thought of this family whose kids (they have five kids) ALL looked like little cavemen when they were born and for years after. oldest just graduated hs and is very cute now and you would never ever guess could have previously starred in a geico ad. gosh i hope the others grow out of it
