I have not - would love to tho! My co-worker was on Price is Right several years ago. He won 3 trips and a drum set. Well, he lived in Mississippi at the time and all three trips were set up so he had to fly out of LA to use any of them. One of the trips was to New Orleans which was only hours from his own home. So, it made no sense to fly to LA just to fly back to New Orleans. Plus, there were strict rules that he had to take the trips at certain times and could not let anyone else use the trips. As for the drum set, he had to pay to have it sent to his home and it ended up being sold to a church.
So, anyone ever been on a game show, and if so was it a good experience? Whats the inside scoop?

Nope, never been a contestant on one, but I did attend one. It was in 1989, and it was MTV's Remote Control show. Ken Ober was the host, and Colin Quinn was his side kick. My chorus was at Disney performing, and on our off day we went to Epcot, and we got asked to attend the taping. It was very exciting for a 17 year old! LOL I think my dad has the episode on tape somewhere because you can see us in the audience.

I have been on two game shows. I was on Family Feud back in the late eighties...we didn't win. I was also on Supermarket Sweep a few years ago. I was on with my mom, and we won!!! We got over $3,000.00 each. It was lots of fun.

I prequalified for Jeopardy and then got to go to the try outs. I didn't make it but I got to meet Alex Trebeck and it was fun. Dh thinks I should try again, but I think I'd freeze up like Cindy Brady once the camera turned on.

I worked with a girl who was on Wheel of Fortune. She said Pat Sajak was very unfriendly. He turned it on for the cameras and once they were off he was cold as ice.

I've never been on a game show, but every time I go to the mailbox.. right before I reach in and grab the mail I'll say "Big Money.. No Whammies!!!!" That's as close as I get..


I'd LOVE to be on Wheel of Fortune though. Someday I'll figure out how.

No but a friend of mine was in the audience at Who Want To be A Millionaire on a day when somebody won the million. They had to agree not to tell anyone the outcome before the show aired.

Bakc in the 70's, my 6th grade teacher was on Let's Make a Deal. She won a brand new Cadillac but had to sell it because she couldn't afford the taxes. She took the whole class to a taping of it and we had fun!

I was in the audience at Card Sharks way back when. I won a vacuum.

DH and I both tried out for RocknRoll Jeopardy. We both passed the test but after the mock games we weren't chosen. From what we saw from several others that were not chosen they were picking the middle of the road players. We had fun trying out though.

I tried out for Wheel of Fortune once....and made it all the way through their selection process, but never got a call from them to come on the show. It started out with over 200 people trying out and they kept cutting until they got it down to the final 3. I was one of the final 3 and the big winner when we played the mock version. I think maybe they didn't chose me because I was the big winner and chose one of the other contestants instead. Oh well...it was fun anyways.

I loved watching Supermarket Sweep. I miss it! I always wanted to go on it. I would yell at the TV telling the people what they needed to throw in their carts.

I've never been on any game show and I don't know anyone who has.
