I hope June is better.....

First of all, my kids are healthy, my extended family and friends are fine so all is well with my world. However.......
It all started April 30th late at night. I was surfing the net on my laptop computer I got in November. I also use this for my at home job. All of a sudden it went completely black, it just died. About a half hour later my son's computer died!!! I went to Office Depot the next day (where I got it) and they don't work on them so they sent me to a computer shop. They sold me a new $75.00 power cord. I got home and it worked for two hours and then it died! It wasn't the cord afterall. I bought a computer for my son too. The tec at Best Buy said the one we got would work for WOW (enough room, etc...) but when he got it all up and running it wouldn't work right!!! So we had to go back and complain that they shouldn't have told us this if it wasn't true. The manager said I'd have to spend another $200.00 to get the computer he needed. Well, fortunately, my son is smart enough to know what to get to make more room for his game and we went back later and got it and it's fine and it was less than $70.00. One problem solved. Back to mine, I called the shop where they sold me the part and said I was going to return it which they said I could. Since we thought it was the power cord we threw out the old one. So I end up calling the toll free number for my laptop since it's under warranty. I got connected to Raoul in India. He informed me that it must be the POWER cord and they would send a new one. I told him that's not it, it's something in the computer itself. He said he had to send the new cord to try it first. Well, he did send it but only the part with the ADAPTOR but not with the part that plugs into the wall. Luckily I hadn't returned the other part yet so I could use that piece with the new piece they sent. Well that didn't work either. Rauol also told me that I wasted money buying that power cord in the first place (I said my boss and I decided if that would fix it it was worth buying it that day so I could do my job). And I took it back anyway. Why he said that I don't know! Then-get this-I got a talk about the benefits of YOGA!!!! Long story short, I spent about 4 HOURS trying to get this resolved over the next several days on the phone. Each person told me I should not have spent money on the power cord-I about lost it. I took it back so I wasn't out any money anyway. I asked them to have their manager call me and they said they would within 24 hours-a week later some woman from India called but she couldn't help me! I asked these people if there was a number in the US I could call. They said I could just keep calling the 800 number and hope it gets routed to someone in the US. Well, since it took 1/2 hour each time just to get connected to a person that's not an option!! I finally found on the website a contact email and I sent an email. It said they would respond withing 24 hours. Of course they didn't. So I tired again. Still nothing. ONe week later I get TWO calls on the came day from HP people in Cal. I told them that I wasn't going to tell the whole story over the phone AGAIN and that I had a three page typed report and could I fax it to them? So I faxed it to both people that called. That was TWO weeks ago. I finally called them again on Tuesday. THey said they would upgrade my request and someone would call me the next day. NOT. So I called again today and I'm supposed to hear from them tomorrow. I should take some bets on this! lol So, at least I have an 800 number and a fax number so hopefully someday I will get this resolved. At this point in time-after about 16 hours of trying to get my computer to work, my boss drove to my house (45minutes each way) to see if he could do it and phone calls and letter writing I am holding out for a whole new computer. I better get it. I'm persistant at least. This is ridiculous!!!! My sons computer had not been working well so it was just a coincidence they both went on the same day. Weird though! Stress problem number two: Sears mower service. I have a 240' deep yard and several years ago I bought a riding mower from Sears. I decided to have the service call this year to make sure it's all ready to go. I had an appt on May 2nd. The tech said I needed some parts to keep the blade section higher (lift parts). I told him I would try to see if they are in the garage and if I can't find them I would order them. I ended up ordering them later that day and they said they would get there on the 4th(Friday) and I made an appt for Monday to have them installed. Well they didn't come so I called first thing Monday to cancel the appt and they didnt' have me scheduled! I was scheduling another appt and the lady said you know it will be $99.00 just to show up. I said that' s too much, we would try to get them on ourselves. The parts came the end of that week. No instructions either. Well, we couldn't figure out how to do it, we asked the neighbor if he could help but he never came over. I called everyone I knew. Then I got a notice in the mail from the City saying I had less than a week to get my lawn mowed or they would have someone mow it and add the assessment to my property taxes. They also said it's considered a nuisance and I could be fined $750.00!!!!! Well my oldest son came over and said just mow anyway, the mower won't get hurt without those parts so I did and I got it mowed! I then had a local company come and get my mower last Monday (May 21) to put the parts on. They only charge $25.00 to pickup and deliver and then $50.00. Well, last Friday I called them and they said call this Tuesday, they were working on it. So I called on Tuesday and they said. We had to order more parts from Sears so we have to wait for them to get here. I was like don't you think you should have called me so I could call Sears and tell them they didn't send me all the parts??? Now I will have to pay more for the parts they get. Also last Monday I was driving home and my throat just started hurting. It felt like someone punched me in my throat. It hurt to even touch the outside of my throat. I figured it was just allergies. I didn't feel well so I finally called on Thursday and got into the doctor on Friday. Strep throat. By then it had a pretty good hold on me and I was sooooo tired. So all Memorial weekend I pretty much laid around and thought of all the things I wished I had enough energy to do! I finally feel better today-after 5 days of meds so far! Took long enough! I had no idea it was strep though. Now my lawn needs mowed again and I'm just waiting for another notice....I see Walmart has a lawn mower for $109.00 so I might just buy that so I can at least keep the front yard mowed. That might keep the city happy. I'm doing the absolute best I can....whhhhwwwwwaaaaaaaa. To top it all off, yesterday I was still feeling down/tired/stressed and I went to Village Inn to get my son a club deluxe sandwich and fries so it would be ready for him when he got home from school. I put it on my front seat and decided to have a few fries on the way home. You guessed it-I turned a corner and the whole thing fell on the floor. STOP LAUGHING-it's not funny!!! lol Ok, it's starting to get kind of funny now.....So I scooped up what I could salvage and I ordered another one and went back and got it. This time I had them put it in a bag. I ate the salvaged pieces-which was less than half the meal. What a waste of money (that I dont' have!) Now tonight I started singing along with a song on the car radio and when I sing high notes my voice starts sounding like it's vibrating. Like it's in one of those weird voice changing machines. NOW what's wrong......!!!!!! I guess if it's still doing it tomorrow I will have to call the doc again. Please let June be a better month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have always said May is the worst month for me. Not sure why, but, lots of bad things seem to happen in May. This May was a really bad one for me, too. But, I *try* to focus on the positive.

Tomorrow is June 1st, only 6 months til Christmas!!!

You want to hear about my May? Maybe you will feel better about yours. May 10 my fil died, may24th my neighbors dog had to be put to sleep. Today my cat of 12 years died. Want to swap. After all that I found out I am going to be a grandmother for the first time. Won`t swap that for all the money in the world. Hope June is good for all us.

Well, June 15th will be the 35th anniversary of my dads death. I was 15 and he was 52 and was out mowing the grass and dropped dead of a heart attack. So many June won't be any better! lol Sorry about your loss. Congrats on the grandchild! How fun!!!
