What do you do to make yourself feel better?

The last couple of days have been really crappy for me and wondering what you all do to make yourselves feel better.

The last couple of days I have just kept my nose in a book for my alone time. What do you do?

I take a hot shower, scrub my feet and cuddle with my kids! And I drink lots of water!

Clean the house, make sure it is clean, that always helps a little.

I use the "ignore" feature offered here. Just kidding.

Seriously,
I put DH on autopilot and I step back to have some quiet time.
Long soaks in the jacuzzi, private time in the pool, uninterrupted hobby time and I have a really sweet DH so we set up a little massage time after the kids are in bed. That ALWAYS helps!

Shopping for me too! If I can get in for a massage, that's usually the best!

I normally talk with my friend or mom and they make me laugh enough to forget my worries, LOL. But, retail therapy is an excellent choice too.

I make tea, preferably to have with cookies, but it works by itself, too. It's better if you can get someone else to make it for you, or at least put on the kettle, so I also make it for anyone else who's feeling down.

I will usually read, take a bath or just tell everyone I have had enough and go to bed for a while. Thankfully, it doesnt happen too often but when I do get in a funk it usually lasts a couple days.

Hot bath and my dh takes the children so I can be alone. I don't go shopping because a look at my rear in a 3 way mirror doesn't make my mood any better!

I look around my world and the big world I count my blessings. I take joy in the little things in life: the sunrise (set), how my tea tastes, the flowers outside, my dogs, my family, etc. I remind myself that there are many things in my life I have control over and evaluate myself to see what needs to be taken control of, what I need to do to go from where I am to where I want to be and I set some goals, some little easy to achieve ones and some more intricate ones. I make plans to achieve them. I write things down, I keep track of what I am grateful for, I change my hair, lipstick, get a new top, meditate.
I keep connected with my spirituality by reminding myself that there is something going on that I am part of that I have no clue about and I do my best to stay positive and look for reasons to be happy and joyful.

If kids are not here, make myself a big fat cappuchino, watch some trash TV.

Go to Barnes n Noble and get lost in some books for hours.

Listen to my favorite music - nothing depressing.

Definetly DO NOT clean the house.

Go to some place pretty - the park, the beach, a lake - and thank God for all I have that is good.

It depends on what has made me feel crappy. If it's the kids acting up, a bubble bath and a glass of wine usually does the trick. If it's hubby, a manicure or a little shopping does wonders. LOL

I haven't read replies yet, so sorry if I'm answering the same as everyone else...

For me, buying something from Walgreen's or B&BW (think make-up,body butter, body spray, etc.)

Or chocolate - depending on my budget, some good dark chocolate or a .34 cent bar fom Kroger.

Lol, I'm noticing a trend here. It seems like wine, chocolate and shopping do the trick !!!

My plan for the next time is to go shop for shoes, stop at a winery and make sure I have chocolate on hand. Get home, put new shoes on and celebrate.
