DD at her first concert tonight

I am a little nervous, but she was so happy and excited to go. She is in Hartford Ct with three friends, one friend's mom and her friend ( so 2 adults) The girls are all 15. They are seeing Fall Out Boy. This is her end of the school year gift from us. She got great report cards, played sports, did two clubs and alot of community service- she had a great freshman year.

The first concert I went to was Dr Hook and the medicine show- anyone remember them? I was only 12 or 13.

Oh, she'll have SO much fun. Her first concert!! Sounds like they'll be well supervised. Hope they have a great time. Did she take a camera? I'm sure she feels all grown up tonight!

Yes, I remember Dr. Hook but I was older than 12 or 13!!!

Mailady, I hope your DD has loads of fun at the concert tonight. I have lots of great memories from the concerts I went to as a teenager. As for remembering Dr. Hook, you bet I do. I still go to see Ray Sawyer of Dr Hook every time I get the chance, which is normally once or twice a year.

Those were the days.... My first real concert was George Strait at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when I was about 15. My favorite concerts had to have been the Aerosmith (Get a Grip tour), and all of the Bon Jovi Concerts I got to go to.

I hope your DD has a great time that she'll remember for years to come..

We are taking our son to see Randy Travis at a local amphitheater in August.

DH is a big Randy Travis fan, and I told him that if we don't see him when he is only a couple hours away from our house, then we will probably regret it.

We are 4th row, center.

It should be an exciting first concert for our son!! (and us!)

How fun!

My first concert I went to without my parents was U2's Joshua Tree Tour.

Man do I feel old. LOL

DD had a great time at her concert. It was a beautiful summer night with her good friends, and she enjoyed the warm-up bands as well as FOB. One upsetting incident. DD and crew were in the lawn area and a young man got pushed into her. She got a smear of blood on her arm from a wound he had on his elbow. He apologized , and told her he got hurt in a recent skateboarding accident, and not to worry, because he is disease free.(?!?) DD's friend's mom checked out her arm right away for any open cuts or scrapes (none present) and cleaned her up with some wet wipes. I am not going to stress about it, just wish it didn't happen.
