Question Do you follow the news? On t.v.? Daily newspapers? Weekly mags?

The news is so overwhelming since 9/11, I find I don't follow as closely as I used to. I grew up with parents who always followed the news through several daily papers, t.v. news, and the radio in the car, and I did the same.

I still read the paper every morning, Foxnews is my homepage so I follow stories that way, but I do not watch the evening news regularly anymore. I don't feel comfortable having the t.v. news on if the kids are around at all.

How much do you follow?? Are we just so saturated with all the bad news that we cannot process it all??

MSNBC is my homepage, and we watch MSNBC on tv plus the local news at 5 pm and 11 pm.

I get RSS feeds in my email and I have "clickondetroit" (channel 4 here) on my toolbar which will pop up with breaking news and bad weather alerts.

We don't watch a lot of news right now......DH is getting ready to deploy and I just don't want too! If I watch news, it's in the middle of the night when I can't sleep, I do keep an eye on our local newspaper.

I read the paper and we watch the news. It can get very overwhelming, but, I just have to tell myself that I can't control everything, and bad things are going to happen. I think it's good for my kids to see the news...they realize what is happening in the world, and how people's action impact others.

I read our local newspaper daily. In the mornings, DH and I watch Fox News while drinking our coffee in bed and switch it back and forth between Fox and NBC morning show. I watch our local news on TV at 6:00 but when the national news comes on at 6:30, I turn it off or switch it to a comedy station because the national news on NBC, CBS and ABC is so liberal and one-sided, I can't stand to watch it.

I'm a news junkie. I'll watch any news channel but Fox, which is a completely one-sided joke of a station. I read several papers online each day and listen to the news on the radio.

I'm all over it. Online, TV, papers, magazines. I like the BBC, CNN, New York Times, Chicago Trib, and Wall Street Journal. My guilty pleasure is watching our local Chicago news on WGN-9 in the morning...not because I get my "serious hard hitting news" but I get to see what is going on around town and I start my day with a little giggle.

I watch the news in the morning, check the online news 2 - 3 times a day at work, and watch the evening news usually at least 1 local show and ABC with Charlie Gibson. By 11 I'm out and snoring. I don't usually read our local crap I mean paper.
