18th Anniversary Gift Ideas - Need'em in 3 hours!

A male coworker is freaking because his 18 yr. wedding anniversary is Sunday. He came to me (only gal in the building) looking for ideas. I suggested he get 18 boxes/one gift in each box and allow her to open one per hour. He loved the idea, but didn't know how to put together 18 different items.

Any suggestions would be very helpful & for those who wonder what kind of budget; probably around $200 total.

TIA!

I like the 18 gifts idea. Spend at least 1/2 of the budget on 1 bigger item (jewelry or something she would like) for the final gift. Use the rest for smaller gifts with meaning. Maybe a package of her favorite candy, family photo in a pretty frame, bottle of good smelling lotion, single long stem rose, coupon for a free car wash, bottle of nail polish, home made card with comments about why you love her, etc.

All excellent. I'm composing a list, so more suggestions are certainly welcome. I agree w/ the 1 big gift for the 18th box. THANK YOU!

How about a charm bracelet??? the last box could have the bracelet in it??? the others could have the charms??? Hopefully she's into silver, could be a bit pricey in gold.

Or one of those italian bracelets (????) not sure I have that right, but, you put the little square things on there, after you pull the bracelet apart???

17 photos of there life together, then a nice photo album as the grand finale gift???

18 items for a nice night of romance???? wine goblets, bottle of wine, candles, massage oil, etc., etc.

Good Luck, sounds fun.

How about each gift would be part of the "date" night. Like 1 box could be a candle, a bottle of wine, the wine glasses, her favorite candy, a rose, a ticket to the theater, GC for dinner that night, a picture frame and then the next box a photo of the 2 of them together, sexy lingerie for her, something sexy for him, body oil or lotion for a massage that night, a romantic letter or poem he wrote, bubble bath, perfume, her favorite CD, lipstick and finally the large gift.

18th Anniversary - They have OMF Syndrome

To all who took the time to post their ideas for my coworker, I thank you. Unfortunately, both the husband and wife were severely stricken with Old Married Folk Syndrome on Sunday and were unable to celebrate as they should have.

Pre-teens, summer camp, bass fishing tournaments and Girl Scout leader duties all in full force on their big day & you can imagine the outcome. They did, however, manage to have a nice dinner together by themselves last evening.

At least now the rest of us have some ideas of what WE might want on our 18th anniversary, eh?
