A weird thing happened yesterday. 2 weeks ago I got a new car (ok so it is used, but new to me) that has a navigation system in it. I went to Dallas to the airport yesterday and it was a perfect time to try out the system. It was great, telling me when to turn etc. After it would talk I would say "thankyou". My Mom was in the car and said we need to name the voice LOL. She then says, I think it should be Mildred. Mildred! Where did that come from? No, I didn't like that name, so after a long discussion I call it Daisy (Driving Miss Daisy). Later that night, while driving home I hit an armadillo and get a flat tire (of course it is raining by this point!) I get of the highway and after I get the tire changed, I decide to take a different route home since I didn't want to drive as fast as I was on the highway. I turn on "Daisy" and reroute my directions, and I kid you not the screen said .... wait for it.... MILDRED! Turns out the next town from where I was is called MILDRED. Freaky, so the navigaion voice on the car is now called MILDRED! Very freaky.

Yikes....very "Twilight Zone" or "Outer Limits" ish....

Smart car! That is very Twilight Zone. Yikes.

That is a weird concidence. My mom called her car 'Buck". It was a buick, and the 'I' had fallen off where it was spelled out in the back. Another friend had a white minivan- called it Vanna White.

LOL, my parents named their gps voice Diana because it is calm and patient like their friend Diana.
