Anyone Been to Wisconsin Dells?

We're planning a short trip to Wisconsin Dells in July. What are the must sees and good affordable places to eat? My kids already want to go to Noah's Arc, so that will take care of one day.

What's been your experience?

I would say do the Ducks they are cool and you can see some cool sights...

As far as places to eat...the Moose Jaw is good, we typically stay places tht we can eat in rooms there, everything is over prices so...can't really help there...

There is another park called Riverview that we liked even better then Noahs ark. Noahs ark is very spread out and very hilly. Riverview is much cheaper and has a dry and a wet park (seperate charges but still cheaper then Noahs ark). There is just so much to do there I can't even begin to tell you where to go. I do know DO NOT buy souveineers at the parks. Instead go down to the shopping district one day and spend it shopping there. Instead of $20 tshirts you can ge them 3 for $10!!! My kids want to do Mount Olympus next time we go, it does look cool. You can see all there is to do at www.wisdells.com. Oh and I bought most of our park tickets on ebay and saved a bundle.

The Log Cabin Restaurant in Baraboo is AWESOME, FANTASTIC, DELICIOUS!!!!!! Great food, good prices, beautiful plaxe. Get the mimi bread with the dinner!! They are like little small loaves of pumpkin bread, etc.... Beats an old biscuit anyday. You get big helpings too. I live 4 hours away but I'd almost want to go again just to eat there and enjoy the atmosphere!!!!! Let me know if you go!!!

I've been there tons of times.

First thing I would do is email:

Wisconsin Dells Coupon Book

You can get discount coupons for just about everything that happens at the Dells. Restaurants, hotels, theme parks, etc.

I would also email the Wisconsin Dells chamber of commerce at:

Wisconsin Dells Chamber of Commerce

and ask them to send you things to do in the Dells area. They will send you books with pictures and coupons.

How old are your kids? Where are you staying?

Never pay full price!!! Almost everthing can be gotten at a discount!!!

I will write more after I hear how old your kids are

My kids are 13 ,11 and 8 yrs of age. They're most interested in the outdoor waterpark, like Noah's Arc. Unfortuneately, this is a little side trip, so we are only staying two days.
Would buying the coupon book be worth it? I did see on Ebay discount tickets to Noah's Arc ( $3 off each admission). Is that worth pursuing? Can you also tell me more about the other water park mentioned~~Riverview?

Riverview is just one of many other waterparks there. I don't think I could even name them all. We liked as it was slower paced and lots cheaper. The kids liked driving the gocarts there. I never tried Log Cabin, we will have to go back and eat there!
