I was in Walmart today- first time in about a month. They had an isle dedicated to Back to School. Now come on, school doesn't even get out here for another two weeks. I'm getting really tired of the stores jumping the gun on holidays, etc. Now back to school before school even gets out for the summer?!!!! We go back the Tuesday after Labor Day. What the heck, why not have Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hannukah, etc. stuff out all year. Sorry, but I'm not even in summer mode yet, I just couldn't bear to look at that stuff!

OMG, that really is just insane!

The kids in my school finished on the 8th. We always give the students their supply list for next year. Maybe the stores are thinking people will buy now before they lose the paper.

Good point, read52. My boys finished school on June 1st, and start back August 1st. Around here we have learned to finish up all of our supply shopping at least 10 days before school starts, or it willl be slim pickings. We usually try to pick up some every week, hitting the specials at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, etc.

I thought I saw that at Walmart the other day.. I wish they would put their summer stuff on clearance about right now to make room for it all. Were headed on vacation!
