Talking DD has a green thumb!

I just couldn't be more excited for my DD. She is 6 1/2 and she really loves plants and the idea of growing a plant after she ate what was around the pit! The cycle of life and all! Fascinating! I, however, could look at a plant and the next morning it will be bent over and brown. I just don't have the touch. But it looks like DD does!

She planted 3 avocado pits in dirt outside and 2 pits inside in water with toothpics (my mother helped her with that). Well about a month and a half later...none of them had cracked, outside or inside. We had pretty much given up on them. We tossed out the inside ones and we pretty much wrote off the outside ones, but we didn't dig them up. Somehow the pot got pushed up under my porch swing and I didn't even think about it. DD has been off of school and she's been watering her patch of "Butterfly Garden" blend flowers and a few other random seeds she planted. Today she ran in VERY excited and pulled me away from the dishes to show me that her "dead" avocado plants were 7 INCHES TALL!!! Just can't believe it! The leaves are very small but they are dark green with very light yellow veins! I just cannot get over this and DD is glowing with pride cause she made her dead plants live again! Too funny!

That is really great,
Maybe they just needed to be outside.

Whatever it was, I am happy that it made her day!
They are only young for a little while so enjoy her now.
